I’m not entirely sure on what basis this restaurant has an average rating of 4.6*.

The food here is nothing short of average to below average - not sure whether this is due to normally eating out in London where the quality and standards are higher.

Prosciutto melon - literally a cut up melon with some cheap supermarket packet prosciutto for about £7, very little effort put into plating, just slapped on the plate - low effort, low reward dish. Why is it even on the menu.

Bruschetta - woefully under seasoned, no taste of any EVO oil whatsoever, when I added the olive oil they brought I the table to supplement it, it also added next to nothing - it tasted a lot like olive oil blend or olive pomace.

Scallop dish (special on the day) - supposed to be fried in butter and garlic, scallops had no colour, no seasoning whatsoever (AGAIN), and no flavour. Tasted more as if they had been slowly poached in water. The sauce was supposed to be made of wine and limoncello but I could not taste any lemon or sweetness from either. 3 tiny scallops for £12.95 is not okay when the quality is this poor.

Dessert was a tiramisu “alla casa” which the menu stipulated was made authentically with the custard layer made with mascarpone and egg yolks. What I was served was unquestionably whipped cream, stacked with cheap lady’s finger biscuits, soaked in bad coffee for an insufficient amount of time, resulting in a normally wet cake somehow being dry.

This place is not good...

Very sorry to share this but the service and food this evening was particularly bad….. I have dined here many times, including a very special birthday occasion. This evening I dined with a chum and though slightly busy at each and every other table the attention was as lovely as I have experienced in the past however not for us…. The elderly waiter did not once engage with us after we chose a cheaper wine than recommended, our choice, which we were quite happy with was super but that was it……….. tumbleweed, no eye contact or engagement from staff, the food wasn’t as good as usual, it’s not cheap here, but the “Supposed” senior staff member argued when I couldn’t eat my dish, he said there “was NO salt in the lasagna”. As a chef myself, all food is seasoned, so a little perturbed by his defensive, unapologetic attitude that I felt very unappreciated as a customer. Having left a £10 tip on the table, walked to ask for our coats and ignored, manager saw me walk up towards him, he disappeared through the door, retrieved our coats and left taking the £10 tip with us, shame going to be voting...

Do not know how this restaurant has 4.5 stars with the shocking service we experienced. On our table we ordered 5 carbonaras and a pizza. My son asked for some sauce which the man refused and said “we only make real Italian pizza” we have been to Italy on many occasions and I can assure you this is nothing like real Italian food compared to Florence and Rome. we didn’t expect it to be as obviously we weren’t in Italy but the way the staff went on saying how they were an authentic Italian whenever. we asked for some extra Parmesan considering we had 5 carbonaras and we’re asked to pay if we wanted extra Parmasan and the man slammed an empty bowl on the table saying eat this cheese. We should have just left the resturant at that instant. Honesty we were disgraced when the people next to us asked for some sauce and the waiter said no problem and brought some to the table. We will not return and are very upset with how we were treated we expected so much more from an “authentic...

Ordered 2 pizzas and arancinis for takeaway and we were quite disappointed for the price! The pizzas didn’t have much tomato sauce on them and the ham was of poor quality (we have fire pizza from a van and their ham was the real deal) so why not you? The artichoke hearts seemed to be out of a tin as we could feel the vinegar. The pizza was slightly too thin as every bit fell on the carton we tried to have a bite. The arancini were very expensive - and yet sooooo salty! I felt like biting a salt rock it was too much. And a bit too small for rice balls. Unfortunately we will pass next time although we are locals.

This place is Amazing. We ate here for our wedding anniversary after hearing lots of wonderful things and getting many recommendations. Well all I can say is I was more than happy that we chose this restaurant for our special date. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere here is great. The waiting staff are so fun and entertaining and they couldn't do enough for us. The whole place was lite up with fairy lights and candles and felt intimate and warm. If you are looking for somewhere authentic with lovely staff and great food don't hesitate to book. I can't stop telling people about this little gem of a place.

I’ve been coming to Punto for years, sometimes with my family, sometimes alone. It is always a great time. Good food, friendly service and a fun family atmosphere. The owner's tiramisu is excellent and I literally travel thousands of miles for it, but everything that I've had has been good. The menu is familiar but with interesting daily specials. The live music on a Friday night was fun and diner participation is encouraged, so if you're noise-sensitive, it can get quite loud. All in all, I love it and try to make a point to visit on every trip to Windsor.
