Nice pub, landlord was friendly. Went there on the way back from a rugby game and got a mixed reaction, the landlady seemed to be unhappy with us being there. The decor is good, adequate parking and a semi-decent beer garden. One for a nice family meal but not a heavy drinking rugby team(Walcott RFC)

Went here on a Sunday afternoon after a walk in the area. It's really cosy in here and the owners were lovely and welcoming. We only had a desert but we will be coming back to try the Sunday lunch. Lovely place.

Not an Indian like the website says. It is now a Thai restaurant. Good food available for takeaway too. Very accomodating with allergies. Can call and order in advance.

This is what a good village pub is all about. Dropped in for a couple of.pints and something to eat and had a wonderful couple of hours. The food, calves liver, bacon and onions was simply superb - not gastro-pub style but wonderful ingredients, beautifully cooked and tasting absolutely fantastic. The whole pub is beautifully presented in a very traditional way and above all is immaculately clean, right down to the beautifully polished cutlery . The relatively new landlord and staff are really friendly and deserve to do really well here. Their attention to detail and hospitality is absolutely first class. If I lived in Blagdon this would be my...

This quaint old English Pub comes with fine food and friendly staff/operators. It is a Free House with a diverse supply of good ales/beer, quality alcohol, even better foods with gluten free menu items. The Master of the House, Colin and his Canadian partner/spouse/hostess, Sharon make you feel it is your home pub and want to return.

They have a quality serving and cooking staff. Ask about the famous coal miners pie.

As a visitor you will meet locals to mix/mingle with to hear some of the local historical flavor.

Located a short drive from Bristol it is easy to find on your left as you enter the Village.

Take the time you will...

We went for the new Indian food menu which was good. The menu is quite small, but that's a good thing as Indian menus can often be overwhelming. I had possibly the best onion bhaji I've ever had, was lovely.

We had chicken passanda, chicken Rogan, Bombay potatoes, naan and onion bhajis.

The food was all really good, nicely spiced but we found the chicken dishes way too salty. The naan were not the best either, sorry. But we still had a nice meal and as I say, the bhajis were lovely.

Would be good to see a couple of other staples on the menu like Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken.

Good...
