This is what a good village pub is all about. Dropped in for a couple of.pints and something to eat and had a wonderful couple of hours. The food, calves liver, bacon and onions was simply superb - not gastro-pub style but wonderful ingredients, beautifully cooked and tasting absolutely fantastic. The whole pub is beautifully presented in a very traditional way and above all is immaculately clean, right down to the beautifully polished cutlery . Read moreWe went for the new Indian food menu which was good. The menu is quite small, but that's a good thing as Indian menus can often be overwhelming. I had possibly the best onion bhaji I've ever had, was lovely.
We had chicken passanda, chicken Rogan, Bombay potatoes, naan and onion bhajis.
The food was all really good, nicely spiced but we found the chicken dishes way too salty. The naan were not the best either, sorry. But we still had a nice meal and as I say, the bhajis were lovely.
Would be good to see a couple of other staples on the menu like Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken.
