We went to see the snowdrops in the organic garden, then on to the Staff Canteen for lunch The gardens were really beautiful, if a bit muddy underfoot! ( some areas not really accessible to those with limited mobility) Lovely views and fascinating planting, sculptures and water features I took home two of their legendary sausage rolls for supper Then on to the Staff Canteen The design of this is amazing and creative, I particularly enjoyed the caged feather hats in the Ladies🤣 The staff were friendly and welcoming, the seating comfortable and well spread out and the view incredible The food was delicious but beware fussy eaters, there are only two choices, one of them vegetarian and no specific vegan main, although the salads may have been vegan So when we went, it was fish pie or frittata, with peas and three lovely salads, I especially liked the beetroot one Then there was sticky toffee pudding, brownie and ice-cream or affogato All lovely, but worth checking the menu for the day before you book if you’re food picky You have to book in advance for lunch, no walk ins, although you don’t have to book for breakfast The price was really reasonable and it’s an original and fun place as well as a good meal

Absolutely fabulous place to go for lunch. We went on a Wednesday so we could have the roast option. It was lamb on the day we visited. Succulent and tender. Veg cooked beautifully. Roast potatoes were crisp, shredded cabbage not limp, cauliflower with cream and leak was superb. Dessert - really lovely. The strawberry ice cream was the best I have ever tasted. No weird taste of strawberry flavouring just strawberries. Made with double cream it is really simple and delicious. You can buy ice cream to take home as well! All the staff (and I do mean all) are very friendly and efficient at their jobs. Their 'uniforms' are noticeably clean and freshly pressed. The menu offers a good range of food and bottled drinks (no beer taps though) as well as lovely coffee to finish the meal. The dining area is spacious and clean with stunning views of Somerset. Toilets are clean with some quirky art work in the gents! Good car parking facilities. Do book early though if you want a roast - very popular place and you'll see why when you try it.

I went here today with the family and was surprised to see what it was like. The food was nice but the menu was extremely small and I was forced to go with a cheese and leek tart with barely any cheese. The decoration was misleading especially the 'bobs big job' toilet sign. Without the leading of a staff member I would not of realised that it was the toilet room and not a conference room. The one reason this did not get a 2 stars is because of the cheap yogurt and ice cream. Also the signs that said 'to da loo' I think we're really unacceptable. To round off I would recommend this restaurant if you have children that like vegetables or have no children and don't mind having to wait 30 minutes for food and extortionate amount of vegetables and no vegan options. They do have gleuten free and dairy free options though.

Rude. We got there at 10.30 on a weekday. The place was empty, there are two huge seating areas so we walked towards a table. The young blonde waitress marched over and said 'you can't sit there that's forthe restaurant. I said I was hoping to order brunch, she said 'you need to order 3 weeks in advance for breakfast' I eyeballed the empty restaurant, she said 'weve just finished breakfast, we dont do brunch and you have to book 6 weeks in advance for lunch, she gestured at the bar and said 'all you can have is drinks and cake'. Thinking perhaps she was a one off staff member with an attitude problem, I went to the bar and tried to order some cake. The man there gestured at a cake display and said 'you need to get it and bring it to me'. I couldn't help feeling like I should have stayed in Bristol where there's any number of delicious restaurant s willing to serve brunch whenever you like. I don't care how good your food is Yeo Valley, manners cost nothing, guests aren't psychic and I...
