A Disappointing Experience at Royal Kebab House

My excitement was high when I discovered Royal Kebab House online and decided to order food for pick-up. The website looked promising, raising my expectations for a satisfying kebab experience. However, my visit to the restaurant left me with mixed feelings.

To begin with, I ordered the Special Royal Kebab for £10, which seemed a bit pricey compared to other kebab shops in the area. Nevertheless, I was eager to try it out. The restaurant itself had a few tables and chairs for those who preferred to dine in. However, I couldn't help but feel that even my own garage had a better sense of decor. It was disappointing to see the lack of effort put into the aesthetics of the establishment. A simple paint job on the walls could have made a significant difference.

On a positive note, the staff at Royal Kebab House were friendly, and I appreciated their acceptance of card payments. The portion size of the Special Royal Kebab was generous, and I found myself struggling to finish it. The dish consisted of a combination of meats, including lamb slices, chicken tikka, and lamb shish rolls. However, I was disappointed to find the meat to be dry and lacking in flavor. The absence of sufficient sauces made it even more difficult to enjoy the kebab fully. By the halfway point, it became challenging to swallow without a beverage, highlighting the need for a drink alongside the meal.

The location of the restaurant in a narrow street posed some challenges, especially when it came to finding suitable parking. Although there were a few street parking areas nearby, the narrow lanes made it a bit tricky to navigate.

Considering my overall experience, I must admit that Royal Kebab House fell short of my expectations. While the portion size was generous, the dry meat and lack of adequate sauces made it difficult to fully enjoy the kebab. The disappointing decor of the restaurant added to the underwhelming experience. Given other options available in the area, I am unlikely to return to Royal Kebab House in the future.

I've had good orders and bad order's from this place, kebabs are quite bad but their burger's aren't too bad. They did have a tendancy to forget the simplest things even though the order was repeatedly checked over the phone before I collected. It's not a welcoming or attractive place to go into. The kitchen is completely shut off to the customer's eye which will definitely effect their business with some customers who prefer to see the staff handling the food. Honestly this place needs improving in order for it to attract and retain...

Very very disappointing experience. Waited 1.5 hrs for my food. The rider didn’t follow clear address instructions and was rude on the phone. Despite having a medical condition, they refused to deliver to my door. I had no choice but to cancel. It’s been 9 days and I still haven’t received my refund. Unhelpful service from both the rider and the restaurant. I won’t be ordering from here again.
