If you're looking for quality service and good food, I would go somewhere else. I will not be returning. I went to Rudis yesterday for the second time, looking forward to having the Double Pepperoni & Spicy Honey Pizza I had in February 2024, which was Ā£12.25 at the time. I see it on their paper menu yesterday (and it's still called Double Pepperoni & Spicy Honey Pizza) for Ā£13.95, but when it came out, it looked extremely different -- just pepperoni, no fresh chili or basil -- just pepperoni, nothing double about it. It wasnt spicy at all, there wasn't even honey on it. I had to walk up to the bar (their staff is nice enough, but their table service really needs work) to let them know I thought the wrong pizza had come out, and one of the staff offered to take it back and have a new pizza made. We explained that all we wanted was for the correct pizza to come out. He came back with a container of honey with chili flakes and said they didnāt have the fresh chili and if they made a new pizza, it would just be the same pepperoni pizza topped with this honey. I said fine, we'll just put it on our existing pizza. Well the honey wasn't spicy at all, again. If you didnāt have this item, let me know when I order it. If you get caught trying to sell something you don't have, offer to take it off the bill or offer something else on the house. It's so shady to trick your patrons like this and then not own up to it or try to make up for it. I'm including photos of the pizza from February along with how the menu described it, to compare with photos of yesterday's basic pizza with our bill, showing that they still charged us the full Ā£13.95 for this item that they didnāt have, and didn't serve me. There were 7 of and we all ordered plenty of drinks and food, and we still got charged the full Ā£13.95 for this single pepperoni pizza -- no offers to take it off the bill, no offers to charge for just a pepperoni pizza, no customer care about the fact that they just sold a menu item hoping I wouldn't notice it was a completely different and lesser item. I never write reviews but this was a really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeing a local, I've been to Rudi's many times over the years but more recently I've been to take advantage of their bottomless brunch and it's been fantastic value for money with brilliant service. My glass was never empty in the 2 hours we were there for the brunch, the food was just OK, what I'd expect for the price, but lets be honest if you're doing a bottomless brunch you're probably not here to eat!
Depending on the time you start your bottomless brunch they offer three prices £20, £25 and £30 - all are the same package but the earlier you go the cheaper it is (which makes sense as after 2 hours of drinking, you might want to continue and spend your money on their amazing cocktails, and of course the longer you've got until closing time, the more money they can re-coup!)
We sat down, the waitress came over and explained the rules. We were given a glass of prosecco to start with, the clock starts ticking and after that we had a choice of which drink to choose for the rest of the brunch, Larger (Coors), Prosecco, Mimosa, Aperol Sprits, Soft Drinks, a mocktail or if you want to upgrade a passionfruit (Prnstar) martini. Both occasions I've been I went for a Mimosa, it seem like a good choice when drinking for 2 hours. I'm not connoisseur the prosecco is Ok, slightly sweeter than a Dry, which is to my taste anyway. My friend went for a passionfruit martini, which while it was nice, it was a little too sweet to be drinking for 2 hours IMO.
Once we started drinking, the waitress came around regularly to check if we'd finished and was always quick when we had to collect and replace our drinks, she also put up with our banter as we got drunker and drunker! By the end I'd lost count of how much we'd had, I'd guess at 10-14 classes around two bottles. Half way through we'd ordered food, I had the Pepperoni Pizza, which was ok, by this point I was well on my way, so anything would have done!
When we'd finished we stayed for a couple of cocktails, these were really good (from what I remember anyway!).
All in all a great deal and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent hear today for lunch for the first time. I am really funny about eating in new places as I know how I like things and don't like to seem fussy. But all I can say is WOW!!!
I was greeted on the way in by a lovely young man who quickly rushed to offer to help with the pushchair. He then asked if we was wanting food and drink to which we answered yes. He sat us down showed us the menus. He was very clear in what the food contained and when he wasn't sure on something we asked it wasn't any trouble for him to find out from the boss.
We ordered drinks and he came back to take food order. Which we ordered a sharer/side of mac and cheese ment for just the baby who's 2. And ordered a double stack burger which is 2 x 6oz burgers with bacon and cheese for myself and my partner. When the food came out I was amazed I did ask for my bacon abit more well done which was no bother to them they hot that done for me with no hesitation but the shear size of the meal was massive. The mac and cheese side/sharer fed all 3 of us and can I say its the best mac and cheese iv ever had at an establishment. The burgers was perfectly cooked juicie and full of flavour. The onion rings tasted so fresh and you could taste it was fresh oil they was cooked in. We went for the parmasan fries which was generously portioned and seasoned then sprinkled with parmasan.
The boss was very friendly and a guy I believed to be a manager was lovely too more then happy to have a chat and make sure your happy and have everything you need. And even though he was clearly busy was mire then happy to take time to have a laugh with us.
You guys was great today very accommodating and welcoming. We will 100% be back. Thank you for an amazing lunch today we are still...
