I went there today and the staff were closing the restaurant it was at 17:55 and I asked the lady if I could purchase a ice cream she said the restaurant was closed so I asked what time does it close she answered 18:00 I showed her the time on my phone and it was showing 17:55 and her reply was that she was going by her watch and the restaurant was closed.
She had a very bad attitude so I asked for her managers contact details and she replied that she was the manager so I re corrected her by asking for her managers details. She said in a rudely manner check on the website as itâs not her job to provide me with such details.
As I started to walk away the manager told all the customers to leave as she was locking up and I mean the customers sitting outside.
At that stage I said to her I think itâs very unreasonable to ask for the customers to leave at 1759 she should a least give them 10 mins notice.

   Read moreBeware. The cafe's (free hot drink) loyalty card is a bit of a fiddle. The staff will now only stamp your card per whole transaction. So if you're buying 4 teas they will stamp it only once. If you buy each tea in separate transactions then you will get your card stamped four times. AND the staff don't tell you this in advance. Also, if you forget your loyalty card at home and have to get a new one to stamp, then they refuse to add all of the stamps together to make enough for a whole card, even though they make up the ten transactions to prove you're a loyal customer. The staff are very strict about this. If you go to the Burham Beeches Café the staff stamp your loyalty card for EVERY hot drink on any number of transactions. Blonde girl with glasses serving the ice cream basically stood there like we were causing her an inconvenience by buying your over priced ice cream. After seeing one of the other male staff members kindly fill up a childâs water bottle with ice and water, I asked if I could have a cup of ice for my childâs bottle. I had already bought the bottled water from the cafe but it was warm. The other lady Madda/Magda, was rude and arrogant and said we donât do ice, after I had seen them provide it to another white lady.
