I'm really surprised by the lack of 5 star reviews, this place is beautiful, a good reason to walk through the grounds or a welcome rest on a hot day. Despite being understaffed they were extremely friendly, it welcomes dogs and has water bowls and shade, the food was so good I ordered another sandwich to take back to my hotel for supper, and the ice cream was delicious and a generous portion. The dog says her ice cream was yummy, also.

Lovely place, coffee was good enough and the staff were friendly but I was disappointed that the scones come with cheese and jam served in single use plastic. It seems a strange choice given the fact it they have plenty of little pots in which they serve milk.

Fast service, lots of seating. Outdoor benches and tables in fine weather. Try their speciality goat’s cheese and chive scones

Beautiful location, but extremely rude staff. My partner and I took our 3 year old here to meet a family member we hadn’t seen in years. They ordered our son a normal hot chocolate instead of child’s one. We didn’t mind though as it’s not a big deal as I can share his. However when the lady brought it over she was extremely rude. She began telling us that we shouldn’t have ordered him that, it’s too much for him, it’s not appropriate and as his parents we should’ve gotten the children’s one. We come here frequently and this lady has always been moody with us before, but this time she stepped over a line. I’ve seen in the reviews we aren’t the only ones who have been treated like this, and if the place continues to have staff like this then they will end up with...

I found the staff very rude and abrupt when I asked if it was possible two cups of coffee could be carried outside for my friend and I. We are both disabled and carrying hot coffee is an impossible task. The inside was stuffy and on such a warm day not one window open. Needless to say we didn’t purchase anything and left. I actually believe they couldn’t have needed our custom that much so we went to a very friendly garden centre along the road, that had a beautiful dog friendly little outside garden. Ultra helpful and friendly staff. I would recommend Otter garden centre coffee shop over the unhelpful and over priced Dial coffee shop at Cockington. We would not recommend Seven Dials...

We called in yesterday during our dog walk. We live locally but like to support local business especially in quieter months. Ordered 2 large mochas. We looked at the cakes but portions were very small and unpriced. Cafe was very quiet and it seemed to take quite a while before 2 small cups arrived. After my husband commented, these were taken away and eventually 2 larger cups arrived. A mocha should be a lovely combination of chocolate and coffee. What we were given tasted solely of incredibly sweet hot...
