It's a small open plan pub for people that like dull boring football or other boring sports like golf thats pumped around the building with various screens all different types of people mainly locals and regulars. There is an outside smoking area that consists of two large barrels to stand around with ash trays provided, they had a problem a while back with people dealing cocaine and in the summer you could see them sniffing the stuff along the side of the building also If you go there you will normally be asked if your a trade as its mainly electricians plumbers trades people you will be asked "do you know Dave the roofer" and when you say no they will say "really you don't know Dave the roofer" that...

It's not really a pub that I would think anyone that doesn't live in the near vicinity would say "do you fancy going to the seven red roses". A friend lives around the corner, so we would go in after work for a beer and to play darts.
Had a few off pints of ale served, but never had an issue with the staff taking them back, and recently had one of the staff actively not give me a pint that looked dodgy.
No idea whether the kitchen has changed since I last ate there, mid 2021, so can't comment on the quality currently. But I'm not in a hurry to risk it.

Read moreThe Seven Red Roses has been my local for years and has always been a fantastic pub for atmosphere and watching sport. The lads and me dropped by today for the United vs Chelsea game and for someone who has barely been out since the lock down started, I was really impressed with how safe it felt Covid wise. Wayne the landlord has really taken the restrictions seriously and enforces the rules to the letter. The girls on the bar were fantastic, dealing with even my rowdy lot with a continous level of fantastic service. One thing I would definitely bear in mind though, book a table.
