Oh my word, what a lovely gem of a place Sextons is! We were in Lymm a couple of weeks ago on a specific trip to collect an order from one of the other little shops in the village. My brother asked if I wouldn’t mind popping in Sextons, for some of his favourite cakes for him while I was there. We ended up eating in and each having a very reasonably priced, top notch full English, very tasty coffee and came home with a couple of boxes of the most stunning homemade cakes you’ll find anywhere! The staff were so super friendly, especially Sarah the owner and Gail who served us. The choice combinations of excellent food are endless. If it’s not in the board but they’ve got it, they’ll do a concoction for you! Nothing was too much trouble and their customer service excelled on every level. We loved the place so much, we went back yesterday afternoon with our grandchildren, one of whom is vegan and readily catered for and our dogs who were also welcome. The extensive array of freshly baked breads are amazing! If you happen to be passing through this neck of the woods, this little bakery/cafe/deli/ice cream parlour. . . You name it, they do it all, with the most friendly and accommodating staff, is a must to try and also very rare to find these days. We’ll definitely be back...

Sexton Village Bakery is a cottage restaurant in Lymm. It is more popular to the people in Lymm that locals love to dine it, chatting with their friends when having a cup of coffee or tea. Whenever you walk pass afar near the bakery, you are always attracted by the fragrant smell of the just baked breads. This cottage restaurant let the gourmets have a home feeling when they meet their village neigbours in the bakery and saying hello. The lady staff are very friendly. One of the lady staff when taking our orders so affectionately to address you "my dear darling". Not only you can enjoy the quality meals dine in like all-day-breakfast, sandwiches, the today's soup etcs , you can can order the just baked breads, deli foods of selective cold cuts, kinds of cheeses or have just a single / double coin of the Bakery's home-made ice cream that you can bring home. Also it is a pretty lovely and warm experience to have a bite of ice cream sitting on a street seat of the ramp road just outside the Bakery with kids watching the swans and teals swimming videring the beauty of the nature in the near by sanctuary. That is a charming...

Had a sausage roll and apple Danish, and they were both delicious, but we went to sit down with them and as soon as I took a bite a woman appeared to ask of everything was OK and proceeded to say if we eat in we'll have to pay extra VAT on the food as it had already been added to the drinks. I was like that's fine we'll leave then, to which she said no because we'd already started eating. I understand that some places you have to pay extra to sit in but that hadn't been made clear at any point. I'm already a little annoyed that the drinks had been charged extra to sit in, as they were in takeaway cups and we weren't asked whether we wanted to sit in - as the rules were not specified. But to then wait till I'd taken a bite out of a sausage roll to try and charge me more - just no. Charge me what it costs and...

What a treat! We were looking for a lunchtime snack when we found this bakery (which is also a snack bar and a coffee shop) right in the beating heart of the beautiful picturesque village of Lymm in Cheshire. Lovely food, reasonable prices and a very friendly atmosphere. The lunch we ate was delicious and all the food is cooked and prepared on the premises. There is even a fully kitted out bakery beneath your very feet. The jewel in the crown is Sarah, who is the fifth generation owner of Sexton’s and takes immense pride in the place. She has a friendly word to say to everyone, and it’s a pleasure to talk with. Fully recommended.

Had such a lovely experience today at Sextons. Our waitress went above and beyond with both service and friendliness. When my husband couldn’t decide which of the soups to have and left it to the chef to decide we ended up with a bowl of both! (equally delicious though chicken and chorizo won my vote). My ploughman’s was superb as was the coffee and cakes. All the staff were incredibly friendly. We will probably stay in Lymm an extra day to sample the ice cream too. Thank you! A lovely afternoon all round.
