Silsila — Restaurant in England

Her indoors and myself both have catering backgrounds - so what you may say ? Yes so what ? First time for us with Silsila and you only get one chance to make a first impression. We were going to dine in the restaurant earlier in the week and a very pleasant young lady took the order. When we rang to cancel - as something cropped up last minute, she thanked us for making the effort to call - nice touch from a customer service perspective. Tonight I ordered a takeaway coming back from Leeds and again a friendly young lady took the order and helped me with my choice. Now the important bit - did the food match up to the customer service ? .................you bet it did. Extremely pleased with all the various components of the meals - absolutely delighted all round, good portions, great presentation and fab tastes. Finally, excellent value into the equation. I had previously rated this takeaway much higher, and over recent times have used the takeaway service fairly frequently. However, my latest experience has definitely changed that. Firstly, I must say that the food was very good (as always). Unfortunately, although I ordered my food early (17:30 for delivery at 19:30) it still hadn't arrived at 20:00. I gave them a call and spoke to someone who had perhaps the worst people skills I've ever experienced. No apology at all, except that they were busy and that it wasn't her fault, and then put the phone down on me. Spoke after another call to whom I presume to be the manager/owner who apologised and said he would speak to this pretty rude individual. Food though is good, what a pity it's ruined by poor customer service. I think my rating of two is a bit harsh, so let's say...

Whatever they are paying Just Eat for delivery, it's too much! The food was very tasty but it was lukewarm due to Just Eat arriving late with it. The naan bread had been sat in its bag too long and was cold and tough to break, never mind eat. We didn't eat it all as it got too cold half way through to be enjoyable. Just Eat advised us they were running late but didn't give a new time estimate.
