Over the last few months I have repeatedly used the Starbucks drive thru at Membury west bound services.
I am always greeted with warmth and leave feeling refreshed, my appetite quenched and that my visit was appreciated by the staff!
I can totally recommend this Starbucks to anyone !!!! UNLESS !!!!!!You want tea or a black Americano.

EVERY TIME! I attend this unit they have been unable to make tea, black Americanos and or add hot water to anything else!!!!!!!
THIS IS FOR THE SIMPLEST OF REASONS the HOT WATER MACHINE doesn’t work and HASN’T worked for MONTHS. This means customers are being TURNED AWAY because STARBUCKS have NOT ORDERED a new WATER HEATER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Read moreThis is within a services, so with that in mind: the staff were really nice and they seemed to all be in a good mood and enjoy working together. That really helped the atmosphere in this location. The drinks are exactly the same as they are at any other Starbucks - they just push a button on a machine. If you generally like Starbucks you will like this one. I think for a coffee shop in a services it was great (the physical space has also recently been renovated and I think that it is a huge improvement. So much brighter and more airy...

Given an average of 26% of uk coffee drinkers choose an americano and a coffee chain can serve (as much as) 700 coffee drinks per day that’s up to 5,500 times each month they have to apologise for not having hot water when a customer asks for an americano let alone any other drink needing hot water.
Perhaps I should just walk over the bridge to go to the east...
