⭐ TL:DR: Highly recommend! ⭐ The staff are super friendly and welcoming! ☕ Oat milk cappuccinos? Solid—had 4! 😋 🍪 Flapjack? Delicious! 💯 5/5 overall! I’m just ridiculously fussy, so I can’t quite give a perfect score, but honestly, the only things that for me weren’t ideal I expected wouldn’t bother 99% of people. 📢 Lunchtime rush was a bit hectic and noisy, but hey, that just proves how popular this place is! The upside? I had some lovely chats with both staff and locals, which made up for it. 💻 Remote work vibes: I ended up here spontaneously after dropping my partner off at a training course in York. I needed a spot to set up shop for the day, and while I usually prioritise strong internet and power access, I took a chance because of the fantastic reviews. I am glad I did! 🔋 No power sockets at my table, but I’m confident that if my laptop had been running low, the staff would have been happy to give it a quick charge in the back. 📡 Internet test at peak time: 🔹 Latency: 20-94 ms ✅ Good 🔹 Download: 56-85 Mbps ✅ Fair-Good 🔹 Upload: 18-20 Mbps ✅ Fair-Good for most use cases 📍 Final thoughts: If you’re looking for a welcoming, friendly café with great coffee and a cosy atmosphere, this is worth checking out! ☕✨ Can't speak for the food, but everyone seemed happy. Please take the time to write a review as evidence of my appreciation of the great service, especially since I expect I'm not the general target audience. However, it could be worth a drop-in if other remote workers need a spot for a few hours. It's almost a shame that I doubt events will likely bring me back. Update: I was indeed able to get a little power blitz.

The Coffee House is just what Strensall has been waiting for, for years. And now it's arrived it meets all expectations. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The coffee is great although I can only really speak for the Americano but I am sure the others are equally good. And as for the cheese scone (pictured), a triumph of cheesiness but in all the right ways! I've also had paninis, scrambled egg, sandwiches and my daughter enjoyed her burger. (Not all in the same visit! 😁) All round excellent quality, great people and fantastic to have such a lovely venue on the doorstep. Thoroughly recommend it. If I had one minor gripe, and I understand why this is the case due to the hotplate, but it's a shame there couldn't be a veggie breakfast option but the scrambled egg was absolutely delicious. A good scrambled egg is not always easy to achieve. Oh yes, and don't forget your loyalty card. Get a free 10th coffee. So, a big thank you to Hazel, Oscar, Becky and the team for such a great local amenity.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Strensall Coffee House isn’t just a café—it’s a masterpiece! (And I should know—I had the absolute pleasure of designing their branding, and let me tell you, the only thing that outshines my graphics is their food!) From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted like family by the sensational Hazal and her team, who somehow manage to juggle top-tier service with the warmest smiles in Yorkshire. The coffee? Absolute perfection. The food? So good it should be illegal. Whether you’re after a hearty breakfast, a next-level sandwich, or a slice of cake that’ll ruin all other desserts for you, this place delivers every single time. If you haven’t been yet, go. If you’ve been before, go again. If you’re there right now, order me something and I’ll be over in five! 10/10. Would happily redesign their menus forever just for another bite.

What a disappointment!! I thought it was going to be something special but it's just an overpriced greasy spoon with ignorant staff! We called in as we were passing through, the waitress just managed a hello, but was too busy flirting with a wealthy looking couple to bother actually working! The older woman at the till eventually looked up from her phone and just told us to find a table and go back to the till to order! The food arrived, which to be fair was well presented and well cooked, but it was clearly cheap cash and carry food, at the price they're charging I would expect butchers meat as you get at other local cafes! Unfortunately the coffee was even worse, it had an off taste as though the beans aren't fresh, or the coffee machine isn't cleaned properly!! I won't be returning and definitely wouldn't recommend!

Edited to respond to reply; my review is definitely not fake, we visited in June, there was one other couple in the cafe so not busy at all! I don't have a problem ordering food at the till, however staff using phones is rude! And I've eaten enough sausages over the years to know the difference between butchers sausages and cheap sausages, yours are definitely cheap! And as for your competitors, you're the only caff in a village so you don't have any...
