Feeling a bit let down by our experience at The Hayloft. I had phoned earlier in the week to see if we could book a table for afternoon tea on Mothers Day. Being told that there was availability I booked the table for 3.30. Now maybe at that point the lady I spoke to could have said that the cafe actually closed at 4pm. We arrived at 3.25 for cake and tea with our mothers in tow to find one slice of apple cake and some wrapped up brownies the only cakes available. We asked if that was all there was on offer we were told that that's all there was as they would be closing at 4pm until the following week. Not very helpful!!! My sister had a ploughmans which in our opinion was overpriced at Β£11, can only say that the meal lacked lustre and imagination, consisting of some small pieces of cheese, some small pickled onions and pickle with a boring baguette and NO SALAD, she could have ordered a small bowl of salad for an extra Β£3. Mky meal of a filled baquette was adequate but coffee took ages and was cold when served. Sadly we were...
