Was once a lovley place, the owner cared about his staff and customers. Unfortunately now it seems to me (and probably all of the staff there) that money is highly prioritised over customers and staff. Staff are treated awfully and put under extreme pressure, and put to tears (and I have seen this I myself - I have even been in tears as I worked there, and have now quit as being treated so badly - I am not the only one). The place is unorganised and the staff get no training - just shouting, the staff are made to pay for food and drinks which are very expensive even though they are paid poorly and treated disrespectfully (even after a six hour shift with no brakes), tips are no where to be seen.... The restaurant is also a delivery service which put pressure on the kitchen and often food comes out very late and the poor staff have to deal with unhappy customers constantly and take it on the chin which is very distressing and upsetring for them. If some level of balance was maintained over customer service and money maybe this could be rectified. I just want to put this out there as I feel it is important that the owner knows how I and many people feel about the service there. It was once good but not anymore. It has gone very downhill and the owner, unfortunately cares only for the money for himself it seems. I Would give 0 stars, but that would be unfair to the wonderful staff working there and the food is actuslly good - cooked by wonderful chefs that do not get enough grace for the pressure they are put under and served by wonderful staff that are strong at heart and very brave for taking on and continuing their roles at...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Sultanz restaurant in Camborne, and I have to say, it was a real gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and at home.
We started off with some delicious naan breads, warm and stretchy and clearly cooked to perfection in ghee. The peshwari naan had toasted coconut and wasn't too sweet, amazing. But the real stars of the show were the main dishes - I had the chicken roshunda and my partner had the lamb shatkora, and both were absolutely incredible. The flavours were bold and vibrant, and the spices were perfectly balanced. It was a real treat to find such fantastic Indian cuisine this far south of the Midlands.
But it wasn't just the food that made this dining experience so special. The staff were friendly and attentive, always on hand to answer our questions and quietly assisting throughout our meal. It was clear that they take great pride in their restaurant and in providing their customers with a top-notch dining experience.
All in all, I would highly recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone looking for fantastic food and exceptional service. If you're in the Camborne area, be sure to give it a try - you won't be...
Read moreEventually got around to visiting this new restaurant in Camborne (it's been open about a month now), this is a sister restaurant to the very well respected Zamans Indian in Newquay. We weren't to be disappointed - from the initial phone call to the end of the meal the service was friendly and attentive. The food was superb. Knowing how filling Indian can be, the wife and I decided to just have the one main between us with a couple of starters and a couple of sides. Poppadoms with pickles were excellent - the lime pickle a particular favourite. Starters of onion bahji and veg samosas were both crisp and obviously freshly cooked. Decided on one of the chef's specials - a spicy lime chicken which was fantastic - you could taste the lime but it wasn't overbearing. Sides of Sag Aloo and Tarka Dhal completed the meal, along with a light fluffy plain naan and some delightful pilau rice. Everything was served piping hot and was obviously freshly made. Despite our best efforts we still left feeling very full for the 5 minute walk home.
Highly recommended and we'll definitely be returning.
One small note - they do not serve alcohol but you're welcome to...
