Went here with my family as my dad used to take us here for cake. For the price you get a large slice of cake, only issue is that the labels don't state if they are vegetarian or vegan and they are a bit dry. My sister wanted the chicken sandwich, as you can see it's not much to look at. Not even a full pack of crisps, no salad and bearly any chicken. For the price of £4.50 you'd expect more than what we got. My mum said that the coffee wasn't very nice either. If we go back again we're sticking to just the cake and soft drink. The staff were busy and sat us down and forgot to come back to get are order. So we had to send my sister to find one. They have a one way system, but as I'm in a wheelchair and we had a pram to, having a bit of machinery blocking most of the exit doors was a nightmare and no one offered to help us out.

Paid £5.50 for a gluten free sandwich and got an extremely small roll. The waitress was extremely embarrassed about serving it. Total rip off won’t be back.

Beautifully cooked roast. Great value. Plenty of it as well.

We used to love coming here. Food portions are good sizes and reaaonably priced however, we popped in for lunch on Mother's Day and it may well be our last visit.

The place was busy as expected and had a lovely buzz and atmosphere, but the menu needs updating. This will be the third year we've visited as a family of four on Mother's Day in addition to several times throughout the year and in all that time the Vegan options hsve been cauliflower curry or bean chilli and a chocolate tiffin. Not even a vegan option for a roast dinner.

My hisband had a roast which arrived swimming in gravy, my son had fish & chips which was a reasonable size and my daughter had chicken curry. I had the vegan cauliflower curry (again) All meals were much smaller than previous visits and pretty lack lustre. I had one large piece of cauliflower and a few spoons of sauce, but half a plate of rice and 2 naans. My daughters curry had 7 small chunks of chicken and a popadom. Why notgive us both a popadom and naan?

Really disappointed with the lack of dietry choices and food quality. I now believe our curries were ready meals and not even made...

What a very disappointing visit to the Tamar View nursery restaurant yesterday (18 May 2022). It was our 1st visit since the pandemic but why this has caused such a change we can’t understand. OK distancing, self service, etc we understand. Before covid we could sit with our dog in the main area but not the lounge fair enough but this time we were directed to a back corner, almost outside in the garden centre. It was not very welcoming, comfortable or warm. Very draughty and cold. When questioned the waitress said ‘it’s where we put the dogs’! On top of this they had sold out of pasties and sausage rolls it was only 2pm! 3rd choice meal which was OK, in fact the chips were really good. It was so cold my wife kept her coat on and another family, with an elderly relative, also commented on the room and temperature also keeping outdoor coats on. On the whole not an experience we would like again. Needless to say, although I’m not sure it would matter as the restaurant is very popular, we will not be visiting again. It may be dog friendly but it is far from dog...

Well I am really disappointed with this place, the food has gradually gone downhill, and today was the final straw.

We ordered an English breakfast (which we have ordered before in the past, and it has been ok). Today the food came out and it looked great until we tried to eat it. The sausage was so dark and had probably been deep fried far to many times, the baked beans were barely warm, the mushroom - slightly wrinkled (in other words old) and stone cold. The bacon looked fine but again was stone cold , totally not acceptable. My partner took all the food back and managed to get a full refund (kudos to the waitress who was not to blame and was very apologetic ) I did question if the food was freshly cooked? and was informed it is not cooked to order but is freshly cooked (which I very much doubt!!!) It was 9.15am (they open at 9am) and there was only one other couple in the restaurant)

Overall the kitchen staff should be ashamed. I have eaten here for many years, but this will definitely be...
