Taste of India — Restaurant in England

Ordered for collection at 19:40 and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Since I was 20 minutes away from the restaurant, I was expecting it to be ready when I arrived. Got there just before 8pm and was told “it’ll be a few minutes”. Didn’t receive my order until 10 past 9!! The staff just kept saying “it’ll be 5 minutes” constantly whilst I was sat there watching other people come and collect their orders! Communication was so poor, just wanted them to tell me how long it would actually take so I could have gone for a drink and not just sat there! I and my partner went out for a meal on our weekend away, originally starting with some pub grub. Upon being disappointed with what we received, be got our money back and we decided to try this place, best decision we made. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful talking myself through different dishes on the menu and also went out of his way to obtain some chilli sauce for my partner to dip her popadom in.

The food we received was tasty and fresh. The chicken in the curry was very tender with no tough bits and the curry had a good kick which I asked for.

On top of all that it was not expensive on the slightest for what we received and if I am ever in the area again I would definitely not hesitate to return to this...

Just arrived into Bedale for a holiday stay and decided to give this restaurant a try due to previous good reviews. We were advised there was no menu and actually paid more than we do living very close to London, not sure if they took us for a ride as we didnt have a local accent. Sadly the food did not live up to the price and we threw most in the bin even though we were extremely hungry after a day of travelling. Chicken and lamb passanda dishes were not really like any passanda we had tasted before (more like tikka) and certainly do not want to ever taste again.
