We wanted a pit stop on a drive from Cambridge to Edinburgh and, as I'm sure all users of Google maps will be aware, motorway services in the UK are dreadful. The Leeming Bar ones look like more disheveled than most and bizarrely had a queue to just get in, but we'd decided to head into town instead. We (2 adults and two children aged around 10) found a cheap (80p) car park just over the bridge into the main part of town and took a wander down to The Sprouted Kitchen, which we'd seen on the way in. The coffee, oh! the coffee! Its beautiful. We had loaded chips and the "Goodness Bowl". The drinks if I am honest we're a little pricey on the cold menu but the cafe is lovely and well kept. Tables have skirts so not ideal if you are a taller individual like myself but crossed legs allows me to sit under them.
One word of warning, single toilet for the place, not a massive cafe so isn't a major issue but I feel it should be mentioned.
All in all, well worth a visit for some food and I will no doubt visit again when I am...
