Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in England

This is, sadly, a very mixed review. The food, when it eventually arrived, was really good, but we did take exception to being subjected to staff training. The 1st 25 minutes of our stay saw us waiting for the waiter to bring menus, then waiting for order to be taken, then finishing our glass of wine before the food order taken. 15 minutes after that, the waiter came back to say he had LOST our order and could he take it again. He was really very sweet but he needed some help and supervision. Experienced staff eventually arrived and we finally got our starter after being in the place for about 45 minutes. Another long wait for the main course. We were offered a free drink because of our wait and did have profuse apologies from the owner/chef. As I said, the food was really good, they just need to not inflict training or long take-away queues on people who are paying more to eat in. Don't go on Friday night and understand that "medium" chili means really, immediate...

This cosy little place hugely exceeded our expectations for the small, sleepy town of Kington. Lovely family run restaurant - such delicious, genuine Thai food and a warm welcome!

We were walking Offa's Dyke and in desperate need of something other than (admittedly tasty) pub grub and chips - this really hit the spot.

Reminded me and my partner of our travels to Thailand (tom yam and laab on a menu are always a hit)... and wasn't too blow-your-head-off spicy for my dad, who hadn't explored much Thai food before. Well worth venturing beyond the standard pad Thai, red/green curries and spring rolls (although we're sure these are also delicious).

The most disappointing customer service experience I have ever encountered. Upon inquiring about the availability of tables, the staff member informed me that tables were available and that I could proceed directly to the dining area. I followed this instruction and was promptly ignored at the door.

Undeterred, I chose to occupy a vacant table. However, the staff member subsequently approached me and inquired if I had made a reservation. I clarified that I had not, as I had been previously advised to walk in. She then proceeded to inform me that there would be a significant wait for food and abruptly departed.
