I can not fault The Bake-well Askrigg! Such a great deli that is such an asset to Askrigg village. Bridie and Craig go above and beyond to keep the deli/ takeaway fresh and exciting! Their curry nights have been amazing, The best Chicken Korma I've had and the portions are incredibly generous for the price (Win win!!) And then there's the goodies! I always come away with more than I intend because it's all irresistible and everything tastes just as good as it looks. A few of my favourites being: Blueberry scones, Cheese Scones, Tiffin, the lemon and Blueberry slice and the sausage rolls, Yum, I'm getting hungry thinking about it! Lastly, I LOVE coffee and their unique blend is delicious, add a little syrup for an extra taste sensation (they have loads to choose from!) Big love to the Bake-Well ❤❤❤

The ciabatta was good. I never tried it.
The quiche was so so bad. It tasted like scrambled egg.
We sat for around 30mins after eating. No one came over to ask if the food was ok. There was only two other tables in. I do realise I could have complained.
Overall, I the coffee shop is cute but the food...
Read moreThe Bake-Well has an artisan feel to it. Bread, pork pies and lovely cakes abound. The cafe is very homely and the staff are attentive and welcoming. I really enjoy the vibe of these cafés. Its possible to eat outside. How many cafés offer a view of "Skeldale House", the home of the screen vets in "All creatures great and small". The scones are worth a mention and get listed in my all time list. A distinguished list which includes, Beamish, Cafedral in Durham City, Bowlees visitor centre and the pub in Newcastleton, Northumberland. We will return I'm sure....
