I am so disappointed with the service this fish and chip shop provided my father. I have been a local customer to this fish and chip shop for years. My father came home earlier today feeling completely degraded. My father is an Asian man nearly 70 years old, and may be at an age where he may not make the best decisions for himself. There has been amber warnings in the U.K. currently about the weather. It was under 0 degrees today, After my father decided he would eat outside, he returned to ask if he could finish his meal inside. Was also refused to wash his hands or given sanitiser as replacement.
After calling to understand the situation, the staff asked if he was accused of being racist. My father has been a working man in this country for over 45 years. English may not be his first language, but a person can feel in their heart when they are being treated differently. Discrimination does not come only in the form of words, but the way how you treat others depending on how regressed your mindset is towards other ethnicities, this comes with a lack of education. The reality is, if it was your family pet, you’d be depicted as in humane to allow your pet dog or cat to eat in such harsh conditions. It doesn’t cost a penny to show some compassion to others, we are all the same. I’d hate to think if a white elderly man of the same age was in the same situation, would it be the same result? £1-2 pounds as a difference for a takeout or eat in meal will not make your business any richer, and would of been paid if just communicated. Perhaps your staff could learn a thing or two about social etiquettes and social intelligence. It is traumatising experience for someone to feel alienated. We are talking about a pensioner here. It is absolutely disgusting and vile. We need to all understand and learn that it is not ok to treat others differently, no matter what colour shape or form. No matter how good your food may be, I will not fund a place who will treat a person less than how they’d...
Read moreIf i said it's the best Fish and Chips I've tasted in South Manchester, would you believe me? ... ...well it is! If i said this place prepares and serves fish and chips which in my opinion falls as one of the top 3 places I've been in the Northwest of England i would not be exaggerating! If you're local, just go and try it and taste for yourself. You will not be disappointed. I can't say it's the best in the UK because realistically i haven't tried fish and chips in so many places in the UK. But i can say in my opinion, you can't make it better than these guys prepare and serve. They cook everything fresh while you wait and they cook everything to perfection each time. The quality of the fish they use is excellent and the chips taste absolutely great...
