Premier Inn Manchester (Handforth) hotel — Hotel in Great Britain

The room was perfectly adequate and we had no complaints. My husband had bought me a ring as a birthday present which he had hidden in his suitcase. We spent two nights at this Premier Inn and then travelled to Shrewsbury and stayed at another Premier Inn. This is where my husband gave me the gift bag and box only to discover the ring had gone. I also discovered a pair of gold earrings was also taken. We were told it was being looked into and they would be in touch. We have heard nothing, it’s been over 2 weeks even after I rang them a few days ago. We don’t expect the ring and earrings to be found but it would have been nice to have some sort of show of concern and care either by phone call or email. Just feels like they really don’t care. Mum stayed a few nights here and it was clean, quiet and friendly. Bed got mums seal of approval so must be pretty comfy. Nice general vibe and atmosphere at hotel and from the pub next door. Every single staff member went out of their way to help out in every way they could, nothing was any trouble for anyone we spoke to. A team of kind and helpful individuals, you guys were amazing. Best experience by far of any budget hotel chain I’ve experienced, so this hotel really did themselves proud. Read largely very positive reviews before booking for 5 nights. Booked a double room but when arrived was given an accessibility room, the bathroom of which was disability adapted which made it all very low down for us. I requested to change rooms on the first night but was advised the hotel was fully booked. The actual room itself was clean and the bed was comfy but the bathroom was very tired and outdated. The soundproofing from upstairs was also poor and we were woken up early each morning by the occupants of the upstairs room. We managed 4 nights but booked somewhere else for the 5th night with the hope of a better night’s sleep and a bathroom that we were able to use without having to stoop down.
