We were visiting the area to scatter my Momma's ashes at the beach she loved, and we needed a nice little place to stay that offered food, and also catered to me being a wheelchair user. From arrival, the staff were so friendly and helpful. They opened the doors for my husband to be able to get me in easier, made check in as easy as possible, held the doors for us to get into the room. I had requested somewhere easy for us to access, so they accommodated us in a room as close to reception and restaurant as possible, which we were really grateful for. The restaurant was fully booked, so they took our order, called the room and delivered the food to us! Despite being busy and us not being in the restaurant, they didn't make us wait. The food was bought to us still hot and fresh, plentiful and delicious. Really well priced. They even left time between main course and dessert so we had a fresh dessert when we were ready. We have eaten in Hungry Horse venues in the West Midlands many times, but the quality and quantity of the food was much better here. My husband had trouble finishing his - and that's never usually an issue haha. I forgot my hairdryer, and they were happy to provide me with one immediately. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who always had a smile on their faces. It was an emotional weekend, and the staff made us feel looked after from start to end of our stay. We were really impressed. Would definitely come back again. Thank...

Nice little pub just over a mile from all the action at Brean. Wasn't too busy when we arrived so no long wait for food. There is an outdoor area (covered and uncovered sections) as well as a conservatory, all tabled (they do allow dogs in the outside areas). Inside there are a selection of crane-grabs and coin pushers to entertain the kids (including a change machine) as well as the usual fruits. Other niceties included Sky Sports and wi-fi.

Usual selection of beers and ciders, I didn't notice any ales but I didn't ask so they may be available.

Standard selection on the menu, though a little over average prices compared to other places. The food was all very good with just one exception - my choice! The chicken tikka masala - a Sharwoods (or similar) ready meal warmed up and served in a soup bowl - it wasn't horrid like at the Seagul but charging £8.99 for it! I expected MUCH better - home made and with an onion salad with dips at least - either take it off the menu or charge a more realistic price for it.

Staff were all very pleasant

2025 Update Well, they still won't be winning any Michelin stars anytime soon, but service and atmosphere...

Ordered 1 pizza and 1 curry to take away - no indication of a delay at point of ordering and everyone else seemed to be eating - not waiting. After 40 minutes check on the order to which "just coming out the oven" was advised. 15 minutes later and i went back to the bar to check on our order and the food was handed to me. JUST FYI BOYS - the words "SORRY FOR THE DELAY" go a long way when someone is made to wait an hour outside for 2 meals!!!! If someone is likely to be made to wait that length of time let them know so they can make informed decision if to wait or not!!!!!! I will say the food was nice - just the wait and lack of empathy spoilt things.

Thanks for your reply - and for your apology - i understand lack of communication between bar and kitchen but fail to understand lack of manners / decency - something to ponder on. Maybe the manager should be more hands on check whats going on - instead of replying to facebook reviews within 20 minutes of posting. im sure the bar / kitchen staff would appreciate this more?? ( i know your...

Nice pub that is very dog friendly. They're allowed inside and out. With bowls of water in the bar for them. Went for a meal on a Tuesday to find out its the only night all week when they only do pizza's. Although not expecting this, the pizza's were very nice! Went back for a 2nd visit for a proper meal, but they still weren't doing a full menu as they were apparently running low on stock. The same menu items were on the board from yesterday! My partner had the bacon cheese burger and fries. It was pitiful for £10.49. They also ran out of alcohol free cider and the alcohol free beer was so over priced!
