Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. I'd like to have given this place 5 stars and I'm sure as time goes on things will improve. However I've knocked off 1 star because quite a few things on the menu were not available. It also took over 45 minutes to arrive (in a fairly empty pub) and each dish arrived 5 minutes apart so as the last person started eating others were finishing.

We were a group of 6 & we went to watch the football. We only had drinks but the bar staff were awesome, the ambience was lovely & the spacious bar comfy & cosy with plenty of chairs & a log burner. V popular place; we had a great time. Locals friendly & welcoming! And dogs are allowed; which was the deciding factor for us.

Popped in on Friday lunchtime. A proper locals pub, just off the High St in lovely rural location. Lots of outdoor space and seating. Nice beer garden. Friendly welcome, quick service, tasty food, well priced and good portions 😁

This place is honestly one of the best venues around, and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with such a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home straight away. The atmosphere is always buzzing — whether it’s the lively music, the laughter carrying across the room, or just the general energy of people having a great time, it’s the kind of place that instantly lifts your mood. The food here is hearty and filling, proper comfort food that hits the spot every time. There’s always a good variety on offer, and you can tell care goes into making sure it’s top quality. Pair that with the brilliant selection of drinks, and you’re set for a great evening.

What really stands out to me, though, is how inclusive and accepting the place is. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, everyone’s welcome and made to feel comfortable. Speaking personally as part of the LBGT community , I can’t stress enough how nice it is to have somewhere I can relax and enjoy myself without ever feeling judged. Safety and comfort mean a lot, and this venue provides both in spades. The outdoor areas are another huge highlight — they’re spacious, well set up, and perfect for everything from chilling with mates to enjoying one of the activities they put on. It’s a place that balances fun and relaxation really well.

The staff deserve a special mention too, because they’re honestly some of the friendliest people you’ll come across. They don’t just do their job, they go out of their way to make sure everyone’s having a good time and feeling looked after. It’s the kind of service that makes you want to keep coming back, because you know you’ll always be greeted with a smile. And as an extra bonus, the venue is dog friendly — so you can bring your four-legged friend along, which just makes it even more special.

Overall, this is the kind of venue where memories are made. Every visit feels like a proper occasion, whether you’re there for food, drinks, music, or just the atmosphere. It’s the sort of place where time flies because you’re enjoying yourself so much. If you’re looking for somewhere that combines great food, brilliant music, welcoming people, and a genuinely fun and safe environment, then look no further. I can guarantee you’ll leave with a smile on your face, and chances are you’ll already be planning your next visit before you’ve even walked...

The setting of this pub is beautiful with a stream running in front of it where they host their duck race, however the pub is a different matter. It's very run down with banners for sky sport and football all over the place. We went on a Sunday afternoon for a quiet drink however pop music was blasting out. We asked for a Thatcher's gold and a Bombay saphire gin, we were told that the bottles in the optics were just for show but we do have Gordon's. The grass in the beer garden hadn't been cut and the benches felt like they could fall apart. This pub could be really special however it just seems to be set out to attract people who want to watch sky sports, but not even they can be bothered there was only four other people there. Sorry this place is just a...

Look on their main page. Dave stevens performed there last night. It was an amazinging atmosphere. Dave was amazing as he always is. The owners well they really excelled themselves, they couldnt do enough for everyone. I really do wish them luck in running this quaint little pub. They are polite and happy go lucky people. The staff were brilliant to . It was so busy they kept it up and stayed in good spirits. The crowd of people that were there they were amazing to. If they have more entertainment there , they are onto a winner. Well sharon , hubby and team. It was all team work. Worked well together. Congratulations to one and all. This was my first time ever and trust me i was way...
