The Bulls Head — Restaurant in England

Absolutely appalling service. If I could give it 0 stars I would. After sitting down we waiting 10 minutes for menus, which we never received from staff, my boyfriend had to go and get them off the servers station. We were not approached by any members of staff to ask if we would like anything to drink or if we were eating. There were members of staff clearing other patron's tables and taking drinks orders, but not one person approached us or even made eye contact. After 15 minutes we asked, someone who looked like the lead server, if we could order some food and drinks, she replied, "have you booked?" To which my partner said, "no" (baring in mind we were already sat down, in the restaurant with our menus we'd gotten ourselves). She then replied, "you'll just have to wait. There are 3 other tables in front of you, then I'll be with you". Again this is getting on to 20 minutes now where we are waiting with no drinks, no drink order or food order. Absolutely horrendous. Needless to say we left and went elsewhere. Even more amusing. As we drove out of the car park the lead server we'd spoken too was messing around in the back of her car... Unless one of the tables in front of us was in there, I can't see why she should have been doing that. Will not...

Have to say that the food here is great ( discounting the fact that I received a different pie to the one ordered!!!!) What I did receive was very tasty indeed.

We called in after a day spent working and I went first of all to the bar to complete the obligatory parking meter process. Had a great meal and was happy to recommend as I had noticed a couple of less than perfect reviews.

New owners and a whole host of new staff take time to bed in and I have never felt the need to complain.

Spent £70 including drinks for 2 which is value for money - that was until this morning when i received a delightful Parking Charge Notice which adds £100 to the bill I had put the reg in as i we were in my wifes car and i had to ask her what the number was!!!

My recommendation dont visit the pub unless you walk there as it would appear that you have no redress to the almighty parking company and no one willing to help

Needless to say I wont visit again even thoug i only live down the road in Lostock Green will go...

Do not enter pub without entering your details on the Pad I did not see on entry, after entering from the carpark entry, I was not advised of parking restrictions!!!! Another greedy landlord! I was not the driver the driver stayed in the garden with family, sorry I failed to spot the signage I was at a pub I had visited in the past without restriction, I considered to be at a village pub carpark not a town centre carpark, I provided proof of sales on the premises, staff not interested in my mistake, however the company managing the carpark can spell the drivers surname incorrectly but that does not matter!!!!! In times right after pubs have struggled after covid. Well this place won't see me visit again, good luck in the future bulls head but I can honestly say in times when inflated bar prices are the norm you adding £60 to the cost of that well done, I hope your covid losses are...
