The Café at Park Rose — Restaurant in England

Went for lunch after visiting the animal park. Ordered kids meal, ham and cheese toastie and chicken wrap. Got given a fish finger wrap after waiting 20 minutes for food. I took it back and it took an extra 15 minutes. I wanted a scone in the meantime and that took 5 minutes to even be prepared. The wrap was awful (was soggy and tasteless) even when I finally got given the correct order. The other meals were edible but I left mine.

Service was just as bad and the middle aged lady was shouting at one of the kitchen staff in front of the whole cafe. There were other tables complaining and some even left before they could order as they were waiting 10 mins+ before they were even greeted at the till.

Very rude lady running the place, very slow service despite plenty of young staff, most of whom looked terrified of the older lady. Sign saying food is home cooked.....it might be cooked on premises but it's all frozen stuff with very high prices. One of the worst cafes I have ever been to and it's a shame because it's in a nice location and could be great.

BTW the cafe lady also runs the go karts which are advertised at £1 a go. BUT putting 20p in also makes them work 😁

Will not go back to the cafe but might have a quick go on the go karts just to get one over after the dreadful...

Been here before with different staff running the place , everything was good nice Sunday lunch . But now very disappointing lady behind counter not very pleasant when she charge for 2 large Sunday roast when we ordered 2 regular Sunday roast but did not want to have argument with her we accepted it but wished we hadn't because it wasn't worth half the money we paid Cold plates , lukewarm food gravy like water, Yorkshire pudding were large but over cooked and rock hard so watch your teeth !!! So over all if I were you.....
