Brought our friends from Newcastle here for a meal on Fri 14th Sept, when we arrived we were told it was fully booked, so we asked if it was ok for us to just have a drink, the landlady was very nice and welcomed us in, it has a very pleasant atmosphere when you first go in, the landlady came over to us 10 minutes later and said she had found us a table, we were very grateful. My friend and I had the Rib Eye steaks and the wife’s had the Lasagna, steaks were cooked to perfections and the lasagnas were beautiful, the service was excellent especially from Faye the waitress who couldn’t do enough for us. Food appears locally sourced, the only downside is if you're a veggie, Egg & Chips was the only option on the menu.
