The Fat Butcher Bar & Grill (was Secret Garden) — Restaurant in England

Honestly the worst kids Halloween 'disco' I've ever been to! Unlimited food didn't even cover enough for the ridiculous amount of kids there ......I ended up buying them all pizza despite the ticket covering unlimited food. I believe they later offered free hot food from the vendors but that was due to the hundreds of complaints and I'd already forked out by then. Zero disco which is just as well as the full place was crammed with tables and there was no dance floor! Most of the kids had to sit down the full time as it was too dangerously busy for them to get up. All emergency exits blocked with tables that the poor kids running it were desperately bringing in and i think there would have been children hurt had there been an emergency! It definitely wasn't legal! It was so bad that even the staff were crying and i felt desperately sorry for them. I've seen someone do a good review about this!!!! I can only assume they have ridiculously low standards, a fake review or they came near the end when most paying customers had given up and left. Absolute money making joke from irresponsible owners who clearly didn't care if any of the kids had fun or...

Booked a booth for a birthday meal. Not sure what I expected but we were sat on a bench and not in a booth. The Newcastle match was on which led to a great atmosphere but you couldn't hear yourself think. Loved seeing all of the fans in their toon army kit. Pleasant welcome from the manager. Food was a rip off and poor to be honest. We both ordered from the fat butcher steakhouse. I had chicken buffalo burger (£9) and hubby had the big blue burger (£10). The chicken was miniscule. I couldn't quite believe how small it was. The fries were ok. Hot and crispy. Hubby's burger was bland. Small amount of blue cheese. We had onion rings to share & these wer overcooked and cold and at £4 not worth it. This was all served in cardboard with wooden knives and forks. No napkins. I don't think it's acceptable having cardboard when you are sat inside a restaurant. If you had steak, you were given plates but at £9 & £10 respectively just for burgers and no sides it's poor. I would not return for a meal but would go back for a few drinks to watch a match. Karaoke was in full swing when we left. So...

Pulling up and first walking in this place has the wow factor and a great atmosphere but its let down by the slow service.

Although the staff are friendly, two drinks in two hours isn't good enough. The serving staff were just nowhere to be seen and we had to grab waiting staff to ask for a server. Even once drinks were ordered, we were still had to wait another 15 minutes for them to arrive.

We would have stayed for longer but when we asked the waiting staff if we would be kicked off our table after two hours, her response was yes they were fully booked. After our two hour time slot ended there was still plenty of empty tables and we were asked if we wanted any more drinks?! Because it's in the middle of nowhere we had already ordered a taxi. They certainly are missing something here.

Food was great though as was the singer. It's just a pity the service...
