Called in here today for food and drink and had a lovely experience. Staff were very attentive, pleasant & chatty. It’s dog friendly too. An ideal stop off whilst we strolled around this very pretty village. The craft shops behind this cafe were shut at the time of our visit which was out of season so was understandable. What a beautiful part of the country this is. We parked in the council run car park just up the way, a bit pricey at £3.50 but at least we could park with ease, it also takes card payment which was good. A pleasant stop off.

Lovely quaint cafe,ice-cream parlour and licensed establishments.Serving simple well cooked and presented food with good portion size at a reasonable price. Staff were very pleasant and had fantastic customer service skills.Only downside was entrance which needs a ramp for wheelchairs as I saw a man struggling to get his sons wheelchair over the threshold.Well worth a visit if your passing!!!!!

How can you not live this place! First off the village is lovely and is a real North Yorkshire picture post card village. As it was a warm day, we say outside. Service was good, food delivery was good and the quality was more than acceptable. Costs were good and it's nice to be served by a small business.

Came across these tearooms by chance, and we couldn't have found better if we had tried. Ice creams, flavours you can only dream of, cakes so mouthwatering with a large choice. Lots of seating inside as well as outside. There's even a part inside which allows you to take in your dogs. Water bowls outside so pooch isn't left out. I opted for a cream scone and latte. Hubby had a pot of tea and a tub of creme egg ice-cream. My scone was slightly warm not having been long out of the oven so really fresh. Normally I only manage half a scone because they're usually heavy but it was super light despite it's large size. Much to my husband's dismay I ate the entire scone. My latte was really good too and again obviously freshly made as coffee left to stand is bitter but this wasn't. Hubby's pot of tea was of a good size and he had 2.5 cups from it. Good fairly strong tea too. His real passion was the ice-cream and that was devoured within minutes so it must have been good. In all, food excellent, staff cheerful and very helpful. Would I recommend and go again? You bet we will. They get a 10 out...

Been today with friends for an early " Festive Afternoon Tea, " ABSOLUTELY LOVELY, what a change from the usual. As well as the usual sandwiches, we had a mini selection of Yorkshire puds with roast beef in them, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets and stuffing balls, with a jug of gravy. Also mini savory flans and cheese scones....then to follow, mini stollen bites and macaroons, also fruit scones with jam and cream. To top it off mince pies with jugs of honey...oh yes, and the obligatory tea or coffee. We treated our selves and had an extremely pleasant and good value glass of prosecco. The whole tea was very very good value for the price. We ended up taking some of the food back home, as there was more than any one could finish. I give it 20 out of 10, if that was possible. An afternoon tea to relish, and certainly remember. Can't recommend it highly enough....

Thought we would call in here for a drink. Didn't realise it was table service as nothing around to indicate this. So we waited at the counter for a while before asking the woman behind it. We were told it was table service so went and sat down, no menus on the tables and no-one came to take the order. I went up to the counter and was told abruptly in an aggressive manor that she will be there to take the order. The woman was obviously in a bad mood and stressed. Clearly not in the right job that requires customer service skills. Made our visit very awkward and uncomfortable. The whole atmosphere was tense. Badly run, unorganised with no information or greeting. We were not the only ones to...
