An absolute gem of a place! We enjoyed bubbles and butties here earlier in August after getting married in the morning in Crewe. The team were so excited to welcome us to the room which they had personally decorated with hand-picked flowers from the gardens. They were also on hand with umbrellas to usher us in and out as the rain threatened to dampen proceedings (no chance with the team at the Gardener's Cottage about!) If you're after a charming, quintessentially English-feel venue to celebrate any occasion, look no further than the pearl in the park that is Tatton's Gardener's Cottage. Amazing staff, superb food, we're still grinning from ear to ear nearly a fortnight later :-) Deb & Tom Pilcher xx

Tatton Park is local to us.We love visiting this beautiful NT gem. This time was extra special because of the current countrywide health circumstances. So lovely to relax in beautiful surroundings.

Fabulous food 👍👍 but service not great ☹️ Also one small pot of tea only, which was waaay too strong! But gorgeous surroundings and Tatton park itself is lovely to visit.

Trying to get anything out of this place is like drawing blood from a stone. If you want to make plans and stick to them then I advise looking elsewhere! I asked to make a reservation for mothers day the week before and they told me they could reserve a place but I would need to pay before the booking, so I confirmed the booking with my family and tried to ring back but no response. Left a voicemail asking them to ring me back when they open (only open Fri sat sun) and I would pay. Friday came and nothing from them. Rang again, no response. Rang at least 15 times on Saturday only to get a voicemail back saying sorry no tables available when the booking was for Sunday. Didn't even apologise the fact that it was their mess up. Had to find somewhere else last minute. Terrible experience, would...

Afternoon tea with Prosecco for £30.95. A nice selection of cakes and warm savouries but the sandwiches were disappointing - all on white bread (should be a mix of brown and white) and the fillings on the veggie option were strange and uninspiring. The staff however were lovely and very attentive. Have taken a whole star off though for the £8 charge to park our car! We should have been advised of this at the time of booking but we weren't. We understand that we had access to the National Trust estate but we were there just for afternoon tea and there should be some concession for guests who are paying a premium for dining. For this reason alone we won't be...
