Used to be a wonderful little cake stop, can't help but feel a little underwhelmed today. Visited with my grandma at her request (we've been before and she loved it). There was a sign informing us that there would be no food available between 1-2pm, fair enough. We arrived at 12.30 and the waitress was happy to assist us. She took our order and it arrived quickly. We had lattes but they were very milky and I'm not sure there was much coffee in there. I ordered a jacket potato with brie and cranberry. The potato was well cooked and there was plenty of filling, though it might have been nice to have the brie warm , instead of cold from the fridge. Grandma had a cheese scone which came with cream and jam. This was a bit confusing (does anyone have cream and jam with cheese?!) but apparently it didn't taste of cheese anyway, so the cream was quickly slathered on. Our waitress was lovely but it was a little disappointing to hear some other staff moaning about the larger table that was due later on. One waitress was clearly not looking forward to the party and almost resented the table arriving. She definitely didn't love her job. Not bad, but a few tweaks would make it much better.

first time going to Gingerbread House food was lovely the ladies that were serving us for food were lovely the only thing i would say is if you want to go to the ball pit there you have to book it advanced online so we only had 10 minutes on there as our food came so we didn’t get the full time in the ball pit so if you want to book the ball pit in advanced i suggest you play in the ball pit first then have you lunch so you don’t miss out on the time you have payed for and another thing you cant leave you children in the library while sat on the table where i was watching my children as the elderly lady will say can you supervise your children when i was watching them as i had two children and i was on my own with my children who also have Adhd and autism so there not easy children but they were well behaved apart from that i really enjoyed the day 😀

Gorgeous tea for 2, visited here with my friend tea for 2 consisted of sandwiches salad homemade crisps, scones cream butter and jam, plus a drink of your choice and choice of there gorgeous cakes, we had the banoffee cheesecake, which was delicious, we had strawberry milkshakes, then after an additional pot of tea for 2. Tea for 2 was £12pp, pot of tea for £3. Cakes from here are the best, cheesecakes absolutely gorgeous really big slices. Clean cafe and pleasent staff.

This is a lovely little place for a bite to eat. The cafe is part of a larger community centre so you'll be forgiven for thinking you have gone into a library. Aside from that it is a very nice relaxing place to meet.

We used to visit often when our children were smaller as it is very family friendly with plenty of high chairs and has good baby change facilities.

Food is good and reasonably priced and the portions are on the larger side. My partner had a toastie and side salad and it was huge even for him. I had a cream tea which again was huge. I ended up sharing my scone because I couldn't eat it all.

There is free parking opposite. And if that is full there is usually parking on a nearby...
