Leaving a review as I was unlucky to feel very ill after dinner at Glazebury. I had overcooked Gambas in sizzling oil as starter and chicken in peppercorn sauce that had imbalance of peppercorn and cream ratio, it ended up burning my insides and stomachache afterwards for hours. The service folks are nice but it took forever to receive our food (half an hour for appetisers, an hour for mains) when the restaurant section only had about 5 guests total. There was also an unappealing detail of a speaker in the corner of the room with a towel on it presumably protecting it from moisture/mould that's formed above it (picture attached). The location is great, but unfortunately we don't intend on coming back due to the sickness after the meal.

So delish! I was thoroughly impressed by their tandoori chicken with flatbread. The chicken was tender, juicy, and infused with aromatic spices, while the flatbread was warm, soft, and perfect for scooping up the flavorful meat. The dish was beautifully presented with vibrant vegetables, adding to the overall appeal. For anyone seeking bold, authentic flavors, this dish is a must-try. Soooo good!

The room itself was a good size, the good things end there. Three single beds in my room, all of which had knobbly mattresses. I had to sleep on top of one duvet with another over me to try and get comfortable.||||The bedroom faces a very busy road and right next to a railway track which carried several high speed and freight trains throughout the night.||||The bathroom looks like an afterthought! The toilet is situated right next to a huge window which also faces the road. (Oh and has a noisy macerator behind it that randomly kept going off in the night). ||||The sink is not even big enough for two hands, nevermind a face, and I had to fill the kettle using a cup because I couldn’t fit it under the tap! To top it all off, there’s no mirror!!! Just two plastic mirror tiles stuck to the wall which make you look like you’ve just entered a fun house!||||For the price paid (and this was a discounted rate) and no breakfast, I could have stayed in a Premier Inn.||||Very disappointed to say the least.||||The staff, however were...

This place was a random stop off. The place in my opinion, its a local little place with regulars. The lady on the bar/waiting was beyond polite, helpful and very customer friendly. I absolutely loved the sauce on the mushroom tagliatelle. It was quiet after a busy day, the main thing I was put off was the continuous looks of the regular (I can only assume) couple. It was quite off putting as it is a place we've never been prior. It's a bit off putting whilst eating, even to the point of looking over their shoulders, it was random. It could of been because we wasn't from the area or not but that's the main complaint I had, it did make me a tad anxious and I probably would of been back had it not felt so pressuring that they was more interested in our presence rather than the food they was eating. Nothing against the establishment just the regulars, or that one couple imparticular. It...
