For ages I have looked at this pub and thought I must visit. One cold windy Sunday was meant to be walking up to the nature reserve and beyond, but fancied a quick pint en route....
Then I got chatting. Wonderful staff, great landlord and lady, brilliantly friendly regulars and my walk ground to a halt. But it was replaced with a lovely afternoon near the coal fire, with good beer.
And finally, nothing to do with the pub, but hopefully to make you smile....
