We decided to visit here for a change as haven't been for a couple of years..certainly wasn't dissapointed! Greeting was very friendly and welcoming and a drink brought very quickly while we perused the new menu. Quite a lot to choose from - both light bites and main and certainly a good choice for vegetarians for a change. Opted for a delicious goats cheese on toast, with egg, pesto, pine nuts and watercress ... lots of taste there to tickle the taste buds. Mum opted for a traditional ham egg and chips...a 'plate plenty' for the hungry! we decided to treat ourselves to a sweet - well...apart from the tasty traditional puds like apple crumble, sticky toffee pudding, and cheese a board - there was a baileys Brulee, and a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake! Made on site, incredibly tasty and beautifully presented with a chard of chocolate on top ...Its the tastiest, lightest and not sickly sweet cheesecake i have had in a long time - and I travel a lot!! The pub we were told had just been taken over, and we certainly will be visiting regularly, lovely pleasant and friendly staff and pleasant, comfortable surroundings..very good and reasonably priced food. Well worth a visit. Thankyou.

We went here as a family gathering for lunch and to have some food. We were quite blown away by the selection of food, so many good options. I had a lovely bowl of mussels, which were really good. Not many places do mussels, especially pubs, so I had to seize this opportunity. My group had their starters too, which they enjoyed like paté and camembert. For mains, I had a massive burger, which I enjoyed so much that I forgot to take a picture. For dessert, I had a delectable sticky toffee pudding that again I again forgot to take a pic of. I just want to shout out to the lovely lady server we had that went out of our way for our child and got a special strawberry on top of their ice cream, which my child loved. The service was great. We loved the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

What a wonderful experience! This was our first time dining under the new ownership, and we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff and landlady made us feel right at home with their delightful demeanor and top-notch service. The food was truly fantastic, exceeding our expectations and confirming what the locals had been raving about. Plus, the sensible pricing was a welcome bonus. Our group of four can't wait to come back!

This place is a must visit. Seldom has a body of staff been so friendly and welcoming, from remembering that we got lost to personal food recommendations. Everything is as a pub should be, the staff even managed to find my husband a portion of his preferred desert. Good beer selection, same with cider and I suspect wine is good too, you just know. I had the burger, excellent choice, and the others all had the roast lunch, they really enjoyed it too. A local pub making everybody that enters feel local and welcome. If I were local I would return time and time again, lucky you who do live close...
