The Little Ship — Restaurant in England

I wish I could leave a good review - The Little Ship Inn has some potential with an outdoor area close to the beach (though it was poorly maintained), with a pool table and a bowling alley. Drink selection was passable. What really let it down was the astonishingly poor food. I got the fish and chips which after the anticipation of nearly an hour’s wait came out tasteless with a pale and leathery batter and wet and limp fish. What a pub! We recently had the pleasure of staying in our campervan at the Little Ship over the bank holiday weekend and it was incredible! All the staff were fantastic and could not do enough to help us! Massive shout out to Kyle for being so friendly and welcoming to us as soon as we walked through the door. Visit Sep 5 - evening. We should have known when we saw letters missing from the sign on this place. We were told that 'it's quiet' so the kitchen was not open. We live in a modern digital world - is it beyond reach to let customers know if the kitchen is 'closed'? Just felt like they were spectacularly unbothered about most things, including us.
