What a pub! We recently had the pleasure of staying in our campervan at the Little Ship over the bank holiday weekend and it was incredible! All the staff were fantastic and could not do enough to help us! Massive shout out to Kyle for being so friendly and welcoming to us as soon as we walked through the door. The food was fantastic, amazing quality of produce! The music festival that was on whilst we were there was also very enjoyable and the bands were brilliant! Thank you again we will definitely be back!

A proper pub with a lively atmosphere, even midweek out of the school holiday period. And, fully dog friendly. Beer was Pride or Sea Fury, the Fury was very drinkable. Food was simple but tasty. The lasagne was good, much better than it looked. The burger was a solid lump of beef, tasty and relatively unadorned. Indoors is better than out the front on the main road. Theres a pool table and a skittle alley too.

We had the day's special, Crab&Prawn spaghetti, Smoked haddock & crab chowder. One was served with Ciabatta and another with garlic bread Both were surprisingly good. Staff were kind and warm. We went just at 5:00 pm,when their kitchen just opened for Dinner meals i guess, and thus we were fortunate to get a table and fast service. Definitely recommend a visit here

I wish I could leave a good review - The Little Ship Inn has some potential with an outdoor area close to the beach (though it was poorly maintained), with a pool table and a bowling alley. Drink selection was passable. What really let it down was the astonishingly poor food. I got the fish and chips which after the anticipation of nearly an hour’s wait came out tasteless with a pale and leathery batter and wet and limp fish. Other dishes ordered to the table were equally poor – 1 star is more stars than they deserve after what landed on our table and I hope for their sake it was just a bad day in...

Visit Sep 5 - evening. We should have known when we saw letters missing from the sign on this place. We were told that 'it's quiet' so the kitchen was not open. We live in a modern digital world - is it beyond reach to let customers know if the kitchen is 'closed'? Just felt like they were spectacularly unbothered about most things, including us. We left pretty promptly. What we recommend is that you call ahead to check what is available before driving there. (NB: one star because I can't...
