The Lounge — Restaurant in England

Ordered latte with a cinnamon shot and a gingerbread man. Given a luke warm milky coffee in a large glass, which was far too strong, (tasted like more like instant coffee), with no hint of cinnamon, or any sweetness. Girl said she had put some in. I had to put 4 sweetners in so I could drink it. Gingerbread man texture more like soda bread dough, and it was plain & tasteless.

My friend ordered white coffee with syrup, got given bitter overstrong black coffee and milk in a tiny jug. Deffo no syrup in coffee, too bitter to be sweet. Her cake slice was dry and bland. We were given one red napkin between us!

Staff did not wear masks, anywhere in the shop. Staff handled food (eg cakes) with bare hands.

I went here with my friend on Friday 5th May 2023 for lunch. Very busy cafe. My friend ordered her food and I had a 5 (five) item breakfast and a smoothie. The cafe was very clean and had a selection of cakes, teas, coffee and other food items on a specials board. What I got wasn't what I was expecting. The bacon was over cooked and hard, the very small potion of mushrooms was ok. The egg was nice a runny. Toast is classed as a breafast item and was extra and the black pudding wasn't a thick slice. I was left hungry and disappointed. The smoothie was lovely though. The prices are quife high for the quality of the food. Mine tasted buttery. Strange taste really. What rule amazing staff work here an elderly gentleman became ill we witnessed the staff looking after him, calling for an ambulance, obtaining a defibrillator they were all modern day Florence Nightingales.
