We went out for a drink and a meal tonight, safe to say we left disappointed…

We walked in and weren’t greeted whatsoever, as we hadn’t booked we weren’t sure whether we could just sit at a table. I went to the bar and asked only to receive no help at all. The woman I spoke to was miserable and dismissive, I asked if I could sit anywhere and all she asked me was “for how many” with a disgusted look on her face. No greeting. I explained for two and she said she wasn’t sure because there was a few bookings, that was it. She didn’t double check, she didn’t try and help or even get somebody who could help, and dismissed me and called out to whoever was next behind me. It already wasn’t off to a great start.

We then decided to sit outside - cold - as nobody would help us find a table inside. We had ordered on the app and the same woman at the bar served our drinks, and again, was very rude and dismissive, immediately said “ID’s” and nothing else with such an attitude when all we did was smile and try and interact with her in a friendly way, and then left. Honestly, we were appalled at her customer service as it seemed as though she couldn’t have cared less about us, definitely seems like she may be in the wrong line of work as she does not seem to like her job at all, or other people at that.

The man with the glasses who served our food however, was absolutely lovely, I had messed up my order on the app by accident and he was very accommodating and lovely about the whole thing even though it was my fault, I can’t fault him whatsoever!

The food was really disappointing, I had the mixed grill, ordered my steak to be medium and received it well done and dry, as well as the chicken, it just was not enjoyable whatsoever.

It definitely was not worth the trip out and the money, the people there are rude and cold and like I said, should be in another line of work as their attitudes and customer service was absolutely appalling and this business should be ashamed at their staff considering I believe I’ve already seen a few reviews about her yet nothing seems to have changed (all apart from the gentleman that server us, I cannot sing his praises enough!)

But overall, waste of time, waste of money, and the pub should be ashamed and disappointed with...

My son ordered a lasagne. When it was given by the waitress. We both lent over &looked at it. You wouldn't serve it. Or would refuse to serve it.shrivelled up. Burnt around the edges. And didn't cover the pot it was served in. 🙄 My son tried it. And said mum, this is awful. Burnt and tasteless. I asked him to try somewhere where it wasn't burnt/shrivelled up. He said it's soggy and cold. It's awful. I spoke to a blonde lady about it. And said it must have been frozen and microwaved. She said yes I know. They're microwaved, and that's how they come. Like we should except it cooked badly. Her attitude was. It was OK. I said my son does not like it. It's burnt around the outer & soggy in the middle. She wouldn't offer a replacement meal & said I would have to pay for it myself. Which I did. This time, chicken wings. I asked for them to be cooked so the skin was crispy. They came out with uncooked floppy skin. I took them back to her and poked the fatty uncooked skin on them. This time, she changed them. After she offered to cook them again. I said no. A fresh batch, please. I suggested that they need to employ someone who can cook food to a basic standard as this cook was clearly terrible. And couldn't cook food to a decent standard. I won't be wasting my money in there on food. It's bloody awful 😖 I suggested you avoid at all costs. As if bad. You'll be out of pocket like I was. Shocking attbybthe member of staff. Poor customer service.

When we arrived, we used to app to order our food. First, we decided to order drinks and a starter and then ordered our mains about 10 minutes after the first order to make sure that we would receive the starter first. However, the starter never arrived.

When our mains were delivered, we mentioned that our starter had not arrived to the waitress. After checking, she told us that it was noted in the kitchen and asked whether we wanted it now to which we replied yes. My boyfriend requested some sauces at the same time as this to have with our mains. However, the waitress never returned with the starter or the sauces.

When our plates were collected, my boyfriend enquired for a second time about the starters to which the waitress offered to take it off the tab. My boyfriend explained that we had ordered on the app so we would need to be refunded instead. At this point, we weren't interested in eating a starter now and we were ready to leave.

The waitress left to speak to a manager before then bringing over the starter about 5 minutes after our mains had been collected despite us already saying that we would rather just be refunded at this point for the starter. We decided to just leave at this point as it was clear that they didn't want to refund us.

The 2 stars are for the mains and drinks which were lovely. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience wasn't so great due to the extremely poor...
