From start to finish this was a great experience. The welcome we got from the servers made us feel very special, they just had the biggest smiles and easy conversation for young people. Beer was good and the food excellent, I had the beef burger onion rings and chips and my wife had vegetable & halloumi burger. To finish we had a share of bread and butter pudding with cream so top marks to the chef, yummy.

Went there last night while staying at the local travelodge, what a great find! The food was home made and very generous portions. The staff were all very welcoming. Met some locals (I, C, J, R you know who you are) and shared a few drinks and stories! Ronnie and his wife are smashing too. Highly recommend a visit and if we are back on the area we'll definitely return 😀

Friendly people running this clean and tidy establishment. Decent outside space in the sun. They serve a full menu and also have a pizza bar in the garden. Unfortunately we didn't have time to sample the food but the drinks were good and the atmosphere friendly.

This was our first visit to the New Inn to sample the cuisine on offer. We had visited the establishment on 3 other occasions but just for refreshments. On every occasion we have found the staff to be polite & engaging. Having heard nothing but praise regarding the food this convinced us to give the food a try. Having Been in the hospitality trade for some 35 years I tend to be critical of New places we visit. I was not disappointed with the New Inn. We were a table of six eating at 18:45, the start of peak times in most eateries. We were shown to our seat, menus given & drinks order taken which we received in a timely manner. 2 of our table had the Creamy garlic mushroom starter. This dish was seasoned well & to a good consistency with the garlic bread made using fresh garlic. It was of a good size & a good start to our dining experience. For mains we ordered. 1x Chicken pie, 1x Steak pie, 1x Burger, 1x Pork belly, 1x Sirloin steak (M/R) & 1x Ribeye Steak (R). With my Critics head on, I was expecting the pie's to be served in a dish with a pastry lid (or casserole with a pastry lid as I call it) BUT no these were pies! cooked with shortcrust pasty all round the filling then a portion cut out & served, This was a delight to see. I tried the beef in the steak pie, this was perfectly cooked & seasoned, the beef held its shape & once placed in the mouth melted. The veg that was served with the pie was also cooked to perfection with just the right amount of "bite" to it, Al Dente as it should be. My 15 year daughter had the burger, normally one to push her food around the plate & always the last to finish, her food was devoured & the plate left clean. The Rib eye & the Sirloin were both cooked as asked for, the flavour from both steaks was exceptional & the fact they were cooked on a char-grill only enhanced this. The triple cooked chips were huge & first thoughts were ,would they be cooked properly, well they were! Nice & fluffy and most defiantly homemade. We had a peppercorn sauce served with the Sirloin which had just the right amount of kick, my only criticism with this would have been, was any cognac/brandy used? This may just be the 'Keith Floyd' in me coming through & it just wasn't enough for my taste buds. Having said that to the untrained palate this wouldn't have been noticed. The Pork Belly came out & this was a big meal. The veg again was cooked well & the mash potato was nice & smooth. Lumps in mash is a no no for me, but there was no sign of any in this mash. Again well seasoned & creamy. The pork was had by the elder statesman of the party & he did inform me that it was a little tough for his liking but was still enjoyable hence why it wasn't sent back. This was mentioned at the time & the staff took this constructive criticism on board very well. Only 2 Desserts were ordered & these were served hot & in timely fashion. Other than the fact that they looked & smelt good, I didn't indulge, the plates were left clean. When it came to paying for the bill, it was great to be told there was a 10% service charge added but we didn't have to pay this. I was however already aware of this as it does state this on their website. Most establishments tend to hide this in the small print somewhere on the menus. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were attentive without be intrusive & in my opinion good value for money. This pub does 'pub food' well presented & to a high standard. Keep up the good work. We will definitely be...

My partner Sophie and I recently had the pleasure of dining at The New Inn Pub in Melksham, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth raving about! From start to finish, our evening at this charming establishment was nothing short of delightful.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the exceptional food. Sophie opted for the steak, and it was truly a masterpiece. Cooked to perfection, each bite melted in her mouth, leaving her utterly satisfied. As for me, I couldn't resist trying the lamb cutlets, and I was not disappointed. The lamb was tender, succulent, and bursting with flavor, leaving me wanting more with every forkful.

And of course, the grand finale was the heavenly Fudge cake, served with generous dollops of cream and ice cream. This divine dessert was the perfect ending to our sumptuous meal, and we savored every last crumb.

The lively ambiance of the bar added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. The place was abuzz with patrons, creating a warm and convivial atmosphere. It was clear that The New Inn Pub is a favorite spot for both locals and visitors alike, and we immediately felt welcomed into the jovial crowd.

Moreover, the service was outstanding. The staff at The New Inn Pub were attentive, friendly, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfectin and catered to our every need, making us feel like valued guests.

If you find yourself in Melksham, make sure to visit The New Inn Pub for a gastronomic adventure that you won't soon forget. The outstanding food, bustling bar, and top-notch service make it a must-visit destination. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual night out, The New Inn Pub is sure to leave a lasting impression on your taste buds and your heart. We are already looking forward to...

Such a shame this pub looks so lovely and has had a complete revamp! However with a clear mix up with the amount of people on our booking which we called several times to change the amount of guests when we arrived they still weren’t prepared for us. However this does NOT mean it is acceptable for just 4 mains to come out before the starters and then have a complete mix up with the main meals when one guest was told she was given turkey but was actually given the mixed meats. When she realised she was told to just swap plates with the individual who actually ordered this meal Which nobody should have to do! Baring in mind this wasn’t the only problem we had with the food someone else was also told to just scrape off part of the meal they asked to be removed. This should never be the case what if they had an allergy? We never got to eat as a group as it was just complete chaos. The servers are rude and we’re not understanding or helpful at all. The whole paying before your meals as well is a bit odd I’ve never experienced this before. Meaning we didn’t even get offered any type of refund. When I had left a review on your Facebook you blocked me instead of an apology. We spend over £300 on food and drink and this is the attitude we get. Being told we were drunk threatening and rude to your staff? I would love to see the cctv and speak to the owner about this as it is disgusting you are trying to cover yourself with lies. We came for a family meal for my daughters birthday we are really disappointed with the service we received today and clearly you are having problems being a newly opened pub which is understandable but being rude to customers gets...
