Shocking!!! Really fancied a Sunday roast on Sunday and a sign on the bar said roast served within the time we were there, yet told that because of a large booking we couldn’t be served!! Went back tonight (Wednesday evening) after a nice walk and got there at 6pm when food just started to be served yet again told we couldn’t order any food as we hadn’t pre booked a table... not impressed by this at all as tables were all free. Signs need to be amended, taken down or customised ! Don’t think we will be giving the nut tree a third chance!! In response to your reply: Totally get that pre booking is advisable, but some of your customers who had pre booked were not due until 8pm, by which time we would have finished eating and probably left by then or we may have moved to the bar for more drinks. Bearing in mind the time we arrived was only 6pm. We asked the member of staff for a menu whilst she was getting our drinks and we feel that at this point she should have advised us that we couldn’t order as you were full, instead she continued to get the drinks and advised us afterwards. It might be an idea if you put up a polite notice on the bar saying that due to the fact you are full that sadly no food orders can be taken! Sadly we see it that your kitchen staff cannot cope with any more orders than number of tables.. this was evident as we were not offered an alternative time to come back or given the choice to book a table on another night.. we are glad you are so busy that you are in a position to turn paying...

After a recommendation we booked a table for 9 people here. Initially service was good with the table arranged and drinks swiftly served to the table correctly with a good selection of ales and beers on tap as well as gin selection.

Starters and mains were ordered at the same time. Starters were of good quality and portion with the the mussels however being a little on the salty side of things.

The mains were sadly a different story. Out of the 9 meals very few were enjoyable. Belly pork was dry and meal not fully eaten, gammon over cooked, battered fish was so hard the knife wouldn't cut it. We also ordered the lamb rump which was listed with a mint and mustard crust. This wasn't the case. The mint and mustard was in a paste form which was spread across the meat like butter and then melted over all the veg the meat was sat on.

The fish and lamb were sent back, however the lamb took over 30 minutes to be redone.

The waitress was a little sarcastic and chatted back about any comments made on meals making it awkward and pointless to say anything more about them

Second order of drinks was only for half the table and simple but was incorrect on delivery. Poor service...

I recently visited this restaurant for a Sunday roast and was pleasantly surprised by their delicious halloumi starter. The halloumi was perfectly cooked and served with a refreshing salad that complemented the saltiness of the cheese.

The main course was equally impressive, with the roast beef being the star of the show. It was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavour, and the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

To end the meal, I had the apple crumble pudding, the perfect comfort food dessert. It was warm, crumbly, and had just the right amount of sweetness.

The service was top-notch throughout our visit, with the staff being friendly and attentive. They ensured that we had everything we needed and were happy to answer any questions about the menu.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a satisfying Sunday roast with excellent service. Well done to the chefs who have a lot of skill and expertise. I will be returning. Well done to all the staff,...

We have visited the Nut tree multiple times since we moved to Banwell, two visits in the summer one for drinks and small plates and another for lunch. We have since visited during the winter months and we couldn’t rave about the Nut tree enough. The menu is always fresh and changing, the chefs are fantastic and service is very fast yet not overbearing which we appreciate .What I’m most impressed by is how many gluten free options they have on the menu, I had so much choice , unlike a-lot of limited gf menus . Even the onion ring batter was gluten free ! Every meal has been delicious. We are excited to go back again - one thing that could be changed slightly was the only milk alternative was soy - which a lot are allergic too so that would have been a nice option for the hot drinks.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (9/10) Visited The Nut Tree Pub for their Wednesday Night Burger Night and had an amazing experience! The deal — 2 burgers and 2 drinks for £35 — is fantastic value. The burgers were absolutely delicious and really filling. The pub itself was spotless, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole evening even more enjoyable. We even tried French toast for dessert — a first for me — and it was surprisingly amazing! Overall, I’d give it a strong 9 out of 10 and would definitely recommend The Nut Tree to anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a relaxed pub vibe. Will definitely be back! 📍 34 Ebdon Road, Weston-Super-Mare
