Christmas Day dinner booking for 8 and what a waste of money! Food was still frozen in the middle (carrots and potatoes) potatoes were black in the middle, meat taste like road kill (cheap meat) Spoke with management after his staff were very rude and was confirmed our fresh food was indeed cooked from frozen and he wasn’t sure what I wanted him to do with 6 plates of full food sent back and 3 hungry children! We were missing our cauliflower cheese and wasn’t offered our teas and coffee that we had also paid for, Absolutely horrific and rude place avoid if you aren’t a local or have have taste buds! Still paid our full bill of £255 but we will not be returning!

Visited here one Sunday for lunch with friends, first time we had been. Nice atmosphere, the food was ok but just standard, I was surprised how small the corn on the cob was considering it was £1.19 for one bit. The pub had ran out of chicken so some meals had to be adjusted but it wasn’t a major deal. The roast dinner I had was again ok, veg was frozen and too hard for my personal liking. If I was to go back to The Oak it would probably be for drinks and maybe picky food, not a full meal.

Nestled in the heart of Walderslade village, The Oak is a true gem that offers more than just a cozy atmosphere — it’s a place that feels like home. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by the warmth of the cheerful buzz of locals enjoying a pint or two. The pub has an undeniable charm, with its rustic décor and friendly ambiance.

The food is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish is carefully crafted, full of flavor, and served with a touch of love. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty Sunday roast or a lighter, seasonal dish, Jackie, the owner, ensures that every meal is made with the finest ingredients and plenty of passion. You can tell that this place is all about quality, and the menu changes frequently, so there’s always something new to try.

Jackie, who runs The Oak, is a warm and engaging host, always making sure that guests are comfortable and well taken care of. You can feel the heart of the pub in her friendly demeanor and her commitment to making it a welcoming spot for everyone.

Behind the bar, Cherry and Chloe are the perfect pair of bartenders. They’re quick with a smile, helpful with recommendations, and know how to mix a drink like no one else. They make sure everyone feels like a regular, whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth. Their service adds an extra layer of hospitality that makes The Oak a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

The Oak is more than just a pub; it's a place where good food, great drinks, and even better company come together in perfect harmony....

The Oak is a place where everyone is welcome.

My drink is fresh orange juice and soda. My service was quick and when I was too down they still gave excellent customer service.

Christmas is dormant is my village. The Oak is the beacon of hope we all need with the lights in the window.

The sports are on all the time for the sports lovers out there. Plus the place is warm so if you need some comfort this is the place.

The food I have not tried as such. Create own burger will be an adventure for an other time. I have tried the chocolate cake and ice cream. It was yummy. I was walking on the laptop at the time show I could not enjoy it as much as I would like.

They have free WiFi and going there is cheaper than a hot chocolate. They have got plugs.

There is a beer garden out the back where there is a lot of picnic tables to...

Disgusting Christmas dinner bits missing gave other members upset belly’s from little of the food they tried, returned plates practically full and told stuff the food wasn’t fresh as they stated it was than confirmed from the chef/owner it was froozen roast potato’s was black on inside and carrots was rubbish and dripping of water , was never offers are tea’s and coffee that was paid for and when asked about them the reply we got was we aren’t offering people them as other people didn’t want them and while still talking two members of stuff walked away from us which I thought was rude and we wasn’t nasty we payed for the full amount aswell as the owner didn’t know what to do please avoid any further Christmas dinners unless you like going some one and wasting money nearly 300 pounds worth I wouldn’t even rate this...
