It was very wet the day we visited and were lucky that someone vacated a table just as we entered. The one helpful young lady soon supplied us with four coffee's or tea's and cakes to our choice. All in all a nice experience. We will return again when next in the area. Hopefully, the weather will be better and we can sit outside and watch the tumbling stream next to the tables.

Well priced and a beautiful place to sit and have a brew (or a cream tea) whilst our Nephew continued his sleep! Good coffee, cakes and friendly staff (although one a little grumpy). It would have been good to see more guests doing self-clearance rather than tables being left full of dirty crockery - maybe increased signage attached to the tables relating to that could help?

Fab tea rooms behind Rydal Hall with great selection of savoury and cakes. Even better, you ask for a take out bag or the like as you’re going to take cake up to Rydal Caves and eat it there, and they present it in a little box. 12/10 for customer service and being prepared - so obligatory cake in box in cave photo as promised 😂

The Rydal Hall Tearoom is such a lovely spot and a perfect way to finish a walk around the grounds or the nearby waterfalls. It has a really relaxed and welcoming feel from the moment you arrive. The staff are always friendly and happy to chat, which makes it even nicer after spending time exploring outdoors.

There is a great choice of cakes and snacks, and everything we have tried has been fresh and full of flavour. The coffee and hot chocolate are spot on too, especially when you sit outside and enjoy the peaceful setting surrounded by trees and the sound of running water.

It is also dog friendly which is a huge bonus for us as we can all relax together after a walk. We love sitting in the garden on a sunny day or by the window when the weather is cooler.

If you are visiting Rydal Hall, make sure you stop here for a drink and something sweet. It is such a friendly place and a lovely way to...

The location of this cafe is stunning, situated as it is right by Rydal Beck and its cascades. There are many picnic tables outside and 7-8 inside tables too. The cafe offers simple fare of soup, sandwiches and salads plus an array of tray bakes and cakes which all looked wonderful. There is a full choice of the coffees and teas. We had the soup and bread option which was £4.50 but comprised a decent sized bowl of carrot and lentil soup and a baguette with 2 portions of butter. For people who want a cafe with character, super views and nice staff I highly recommend this one. Regarding parking there is some nearby and some 300 yards...

A lovely lunch here, the sandwiches were inexpensive and delicious and the Moroccan chick pea and tomato soup was just the ticket after a wander round the beautiful woodland garden and sculptures. Some children delighted in the hidden toy animals as we ate our lunch and the river provided a playground for a 14 year old. For all there was a campsite and a gypsy caravan style camping area nearby, the place was peaceful on a warm...
