Lovely place and it's so lovely to have a garden centre that welcome children and offer a soft play area. I think the server is called Josh- he is so welcoming and couldn't do more to help you.
Please please cover up the heater in the children's area! There is a storage heater near the door at child height which gets VERY VERY hot. Our little ones put their hand on it and burnt their fingers (not a bad burn but was very red) as it was extremely hot. There are no signs saying it was on- it was a warm day or that it gets very hot. As it was a warm day we were expecting it to be turned off so didn't check it.
Also, access changing facility /toilets closer to the children's area would be really helpful. When you have a young child, traipsing through the cafe then outside to change your child...

For my sons birthday we had been meaning to go to a indoor playtown but the building had been damaged from storm Dennis so we headed hear instead for breakfast and it cheered us all up from our disappointment and my young children could play in the soft play room. I told the lady on the til how it was my sons birthday and what had happened and she gave them both a big brownie when we went to leave which was so generous that made us so happy as we left. It’s a nice cafe usually, Just don’t ask for anything with feta & walnuts on top, I ordered toasted sour dough with feta & walnuts, sounded delicious, what arrived was two dry slices of bread with a handful of leaves from a bag tossed on the bread, half a dozen tiny cubes of fetta & a few broken bits of walnut.. no idea how you’d eat the pickle in a pot with it… chef said ‘sorry that’s how we make it’ Just a bit of balsamic & oil would have helped, instead I had to put butter on the bread.
