The Palmer Arms is a nice pub on the outskirts of Eton. Itโ€™s got a warm homely feel as you enter with the bar located at the front and a nice light and open modern restaurant area at the back. The beer selection is pretty varied and menu offers you traditional pub food as well as a few more interesting dishes if you fancy something a bit different. As I was in the mood for good ol fashion pub grub I ordered the tuna melt and a side of chips. I was glad to see the chips were proper pieces of potato and not a few fries in a can. The tuna melt was also delicious, despite being covered in cheese, the tuna was still tasty and moist and the perfect topping to the large slice of bread it sat atop. The service was also friendly and overall we enjoyed a top lunch, so give it try if youโ€™re ever in the area and fancy a proper pub lunch.

Brilliant meal tonight, the pub was full and have a wonderful atmosphere. We were seated very quickly and it was warm and comfortable. We were attended to really, really well. The staff were ultra efficient and โ€œon the ballโ€. Extremely helpful and attentive. We order a main each and a dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection (1 rib eye steak and 1 sea bass was ordered). Ordered an extra portion of vegetables and some gravy, everything was delicious. Photos included in this review. For dessert we ordered 1 apple & raisin crumble & 1 Sticky Toffee Pudding which was delicious. (Sorry I forgot to take a photo) Definitely recommend this pub to anyone & weโ€™ll definitely return really soon. Service was fast and really efficient. Well done to all ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

22nd June 2024 A delightful 15th century pub set in the beautiful Village of Dorney in Windsor. There is a huge rear garden ideal for parties and numerous functions, together with ample seating at the front. The service is excellent and staffed by a friendly and enthusiastic team. Offering a good selection of beers and ciders, this little country gem is a 'must stop' if you're passing through this picturesque village. I've been encouraged to make a return visit to try their Sunday roasts which I'm really looking forward to sometime soon. The pub also offers on site parking which is also adequately suited for disabled Patrons.

Our first time and certainly not our last!

Absolutely amazed and very very happy with the service, food, speed of everything which came out of the kitchen to our table and ambience. We were ALL so impressed (2 kids and 2 adults), we even rated this out loud to the staff.

10 / 10 but "we would give it 1000 if we could" our 10 year old said.

The ambience is very warm and cosy, lovely set tables. Staff were all so friendly and we didn't have to wait more than a handful of seconds when we needed to order anything or ask for anything extra.

The food is honestly so yummy! We ordered breads with dip, calamari and the lamb koftas for starters and they were demolished immediately. I'd say to make sure to dip the lamb in the yoghurt sauce as the salty koftes are balanced out by the yoghurt freshness.

My partner and I ordered the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. I had the pork and he had the beef. Recommended either. They're as good as the other.

The kids had a beef burger and fries which came with bacon and cheese (absolute winner with our a year old) and the portion was very healthy!

Our girl had the kids macaroni and garlic bread. She rated this a 10 and the bread used for the garlic bread is not just cheap bread which was nice! Dense and very morish.

Finished off the evening with the kids pudding which thankfully were actually kids portions as they were very rich but delightful. Sticky toffee pudding which came with vanilla ice cream and the brownie also which came with the vanilla ice cream.

Oh, and how could we forget the red wine my partner and I enjoyed.

Honesty, if you're looking for a place not just for your family but maybe for friends hang outs, this is a winner of a place. Very very happy customers here. We...

Not expensive. Tribute Cornish Ale on draft. Reasonable selection of wines. Large premises with plenty of seating inside and in the rear garden. Wouldn't say it was fully accessible for a wheelchair users during busy periods. Perhaps call ahead. Menu looks varied at first glance but you need to chase the vegetarian and vegan options. You can always ask for something simple to be prepared. My friend has an allergy card. The kitchen adapted a salmon dish to accommodate that which she declared was lovely just rather large ! Our other friend finished it off, no problems with portions here

Unfortunately the mixed green salad with my vegan burger was a little sparse and unimaginative.l think most gastro pubs should state chips can be exchanged for extra garnish/salad. Ice cream options very good. Eton mess looked interesting. Apparently there are more teas available than the printed selection. There was no Earl Grey available on that night and decaffeinated coffee wasn't listed. You will have to ask. As for general ambience. Indoors: Comfortable seating, wide tables and good lighting. Outside : There are plans to move the music system farther back in the garden making it easier to sustain conversations. That will happen fairly soon so for the time being just sit at a distance from the speakers. Staff very pleasant and helpful...

Lovely pub. Very deceptive from the road... my initial thought was, it was unlikely to do food, if it does its probably not great... but my wife was very hungry so we stopped... we were immediately greeted by a member of the waiting staff with a warm hearty smile and offered a table in or out.. the menue was not large only around 5 options per course. We had a sharing platter of breads and oils, which were really good. So good in fact, that we ordered a second... the main courses were well presented and were of good quality produce which was above expectations. I was full but when presented with the desert menu, I couldn't help but order the cheese board. The menu described each of the four cheeses in great detail (rather than the usual 'selection of 4 cheeses' that less caring establishments tend to use as a description) which is why I chose it. Although we were sat indoors, we explored the outer seating area before leaving and the large area was mostly covered by a huge canopy with plenty of heaters for the comfort of the customers... at the end of the garden is a climbing frame for the little ones and they also have some chickens.. Good sized car park... All in All a better than expected experience and we would certainly recommend The Palmer...
