Such a bad experience I don't believe we will ever return. In summary, Jenny (the manager) is exceptionally rude and attempted to help others cover up crashing in to our car in the car park!!
It started out when we were waiting for food. One of our party overheard the table next to us talking about a badly parked car and how they had crashed in to one trying to park. Jenny (the manager) was talking to them and rather than suggesting they leave a note, said 'dont worry about it, they probably won't notice or aren't even in here'. The 'badly parked car' was actually someone from our party - there were 2 lorries in the car park when she arrived so one of the staff told her to park along the wall, which she did. Upon hearing this conversation, one of our party went out to check the cars, and the one who's car was being referred to explained what happened and offered to move it. Jenny replied "yes your car has caused chaos for the last hour, do move it" (RUDE). When she went outside there was a very rude letter on the car from the same woman. So she had suggested the table next to us try and get away with hitting out car, but had left a rude note because of parking. Whilst out there, Jenny proceeded to bark at our friend that she had spent the last hour trying to locate the owner of this car - which she absolutely hadn't. All it would have taken was for her to pop round every table and say "I'm looking for the owner of the car with registration X", but no.
Our lunch out continues and the food arrives. Jenny (manager) brings it out and one of the orders is wrong. Instead of rectifying it, she throws it down Infront of our party and says "you don't mind having it, right. It looks delicious anyways" ??!! Absolutely shocking customer service.
The final straw: I almost break a tooth on a bone from my chicken and pesto wrap.
The owners should be ashamed of the manager...
Read moreWhen we got there it was very stuffy and smelly inside, we were showed to our table, as we ordered drinks we ordered a starter of garlic bread with cheese x 2 along with drinks and weren’t at any Point told it was large or explained the size of the portion, I ordered some starters quickly as the children were really hungry at this point. We requested to save one whole garlic bread in a box for when we left. Mains were ok, abit bread heavy and the childrens were a full plate of pizza not half as menu stated. As a result we had to ask for two of the pieces of children’s pizza to also be boxed. Which at this point was a lot of food in the box. Went outside after because of smell and heat, had more drinks, enjoyed atmosphere, waiter brought out the box of food and I asked him to save it in the kitchen until we left. On leaving we asked for the food and a pile of food handed to us in tin foil, they had clearly ran out of boxes and just used ours for someone else!!! Wouldn’t of been so bad if the man hadn’t brought it out previously in a box! We had so much food to take back and as we were away on a break tin foil just wasn’t enough to preserve it so we lost out on 1 garlic bread and two slices of pizza. I did complain to the waitress but she said it is what it is, they ran out of boxes and I should of known the size of the garlic bread from the price, she would pass onto the manager who I hope sees this and acts quickly on this bad service!!! WOULDNT...
Read moreFirst off, I have to say the Staff are 5* and very helpful, polite and accomodating. The atmosphere is also 5*. Parking is a little annoying and you need to be patient waiting for a space.
But the sandwiches... are tasteless. This is my second visit here and my partner and I have been disappointed with the food both times. We order 2 sandwiches and share half with each other, so in total, have tried 4 sandwiches. The Starter of Padron Peppers were the best thing really. But we noticed ours (and other orders) are accompanied by bread overload to fill the plates. But there were plenty of tasty Padrons too to fill us both up.
SANDWICHES - On this visit, we had the Vampire Attack and Fishermans Friend. The Vampire Attack: Roast beef, red onion and garlic dressing, sounds amazing but wasn't. This whole sandwich literally tasted of bread and a bit of onion, but there was plenty of filling, it was very weird! Tasteless beef and the most disappointing, tasteless garlic dressing! And there was a lot of it! The Fishermans Friend (Fish Finger sandwich basically) was OK, something you could easily make at home and still felt more bready than anything.
The 3 stars are mainly based on the Sandwiches, as this is what The Pineapple is known for. We won't be returning any time soon unfortunately but I do love the concept! We will try again in...
