Another, truly, fantastic meal at the Ring O Bells. Friday night calls for Fish and Fizz and this gem of a restaurant never fails to disappoint. A cosy, quiet inn who's owners care about their customers and will always take the time to interact with them to give an truly positive experience.
The food was delicious, with staff open to substitutions if asked. We had 2 whole lobsters for £20 (each) less than previous Cornish restaurants we have tried. Both were excellent with a glass of prosecco to wash it down. Even this extravagant meal won't bankrupt the average person and that is to speak of nothing of the rest of the food on offer, which has always been, in my opinion, of great value for money, delicious and in a good quantity.
If you're in need of a quiet getaway then this is the perfect place. Good food, cosy atmosphere and a well stocked bar (and some well stocked options for our furry companions of the world). Thank you Lucy and Sarah for another...
Read moreBooked for steak night. On arrival, we were literally ignored at the bar for ages, just an acknowledgement would have been fine as we could see that they were busy.We then waited ages to place our order and ended up having to stop a waitress and ask her to take our order. When the food came, my 12 year old sons medium steak was more than well done, so l asked for it to be replaced. However, he couldn't eat it which was obvious from his full plate that was cleared away and I explained this to the young boy that took it and another waitress. When l came to pay the bill however, it had been charged for in full. I queried this and asked for a discount, it was referred to the boss who apparently advised that I should have sent it back a second time, he didn't even come and see us himself or offer any kind of apology. What an awful way to...
Read moreAs we came out my brother in law said, "that might even be the best food I have ever eaten".
The front of the pub is tiny but it is tardis like inside and very welcoming. We had a party of 10 in the back room nearest the kitchen and we were cared for by a friendly, attentive team with regular visits from the chef during our meal.
The food was tasty and clearly prepared with care and love. Food cooked with that level of passion just tastes better. Love makes everything better. The variety and generous helpings of vegetables with our roast dinners also made a big difference. The desserts were also delicious and they certainly don't skimp on portion sizes.
For a group with meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans, the whole experience just left with full bellys and big...
