Popped in for a drink on the way to another restaurant for dinner, but once we looked at the menu we decided to try this one instead! I'd eaten here about 5 years ago, and the food was very good then, so it was going to be a bit of a test really... and we weren't disappointed! We chose to share a couple of starters of thinly sliced and coated calamari with a great little fiery chilli & ginger dipping sauce, and some dim sum-like dumplingswith a masala sauce, which were lovely and tasty, followed by a very nice chicken biryani. The chicken was tender and flavoursome, and the rice was nice and light... unlike the stodgy versions you can get elsewhere. We felt stuffed after all this, so skipped dessert and rounded it off with coffee's instead, and the bill came to £30 for the two of us which was well worth it. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the open fire was welcomed on such a horrible wet night, and the eclectic choice of music being played later was a joy to behold! I was cycling and my phone (which had almost run out of battery) was my only way of navigation. Thank you very much again! The place is great too, clean and tidy and the locals there seemed to be having a great time. Had a nice Guinness myself while wairing for the phone to charge, and it tasted just the same as...
