Awful and overpriced place. First we asked if there was some sort of shade at the back. The waiter went to check and when he came back he asked with rude attitude " so, in or out?" Without even telling us about the availability at the back. He was more interested in swinging at the counter or walking around without doing anything. Our table wasn't clean so it obviously was not disinfected, but the place was empty and the waitresses were at the bar chatting instead of making sure the place was safe for people to go. We ordered sandwiches since half of the menu was not available. We had a crab and a lobster sandwich. It took forever to come and the taste wasn't good, the bread was not toasted so it soaked all the liquids from the filling, the little prawns were clearly not fresh and the crab one had some crab pate that didn't taste good. The lady who served us the food was very kind, though and it is the only positive thing to say....

We’ve been for lunch today with family of 4. Such a bad experience and disappointing. The margarita pizza was exactly the Ristorante frozen pizza with the pesto and tomatoes. They’ve added some cheese and extra tomatoes. The fish wasn’t in fresh batter but tasted like the some frozen one and the worse my mussels came out partially hot , most of them cold . They weren’t soaked in any of the nice tasty sauce but had some thick sauce sprinkled on top . When I’ve send the dish back( never mentioned about the pizza as we really didn’t want a fuss) I don’t thinks the lady was happy never said sorry just hand me the cash back. The lads that worked there are the most polite and friendly staff ever. I think the owner is taking the mick out of the tourists and allowing such a low value food thinking that the tourist won’t come back anyway. We are from Bournemouth so not proper tourists but we were very disappointed with the quality...

Thank you to Ellie who runs this wonderful little gem of a place, right in the heart of lulworth Cove, we had the most delightful breakfast here. Top class and we were treated like family. Such a friendly and cosy atmosphere. I'd like to add also that our two kids couldn't stop asking for one of Ellie's milkshakes after she knocked up a couple of ice-cream based creations "Crunchy and Biscoff"! I wish I'd had one after I tasted both "lucky kiddos". I could see she works so hard to make her customers happy and takes great pride in running a place with fresh local produce and there's certainly service with a smile. Also evenings they do a barbecue which you can smell from the beach which soon lures you up for a second taste of there yummy food...I'd like to personally say thanks to Ellie and her team for being so welcoming and giving us all such a lovely experience... Best cafe in Lulworth!!! we will...

We were looking for a cream tea after sampling many in Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. The menu stated “Homemade Scone”, nothing that came out was home made. The scones were from a shop, uniform in shape and bland in flavour, the jam was generic single service packet and there wasn’t enough cream in the little pot to go on 2 scones. My girlfriend’s cream was mouldy and when we flagged this to the server, he seemed confused to what to do… I complained that the scone was not homemade and he responded with “I think they are, but I am unsure as I don’t work in the kitchen”. Service time was over 45 minutes and the cafe isn’t very big, with 3 servers manning the bar and till. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, such a shame that a great location is being let down by lazy staff and mediocre food. Also the teas we had tasted like dish water.

Good: one of staff was friendly, freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious Bad/things to improve: - I was told by the staff she would take down my order (as I was sitting indoors. However when I asked another staff that I was ready to place my order he said I have place the order at the till . I’m sure that others indoors didn’t have to do this. Perhaps laziness, or not trained properly or whatever the reason is. - playing music with derogatory words (n and f words) - yes this is at a restaurant. - haddock fish sandwich I ordered was over cooked so the batter wasn’t light, crispy and delicate. The food isn’t bad, just very standard so would have given it three stars however the items mentioned above weighs enough to bring down their rating.

This cafe looked like a nice place to eat the manger was nice and did help us out but she does need to spend more time training the waste of space young lad that is arguementive . My wife at time to time might ask to have something swoped because she can't eat whats on offer , in this case it was breakfast as they want to charge more to have a swop, unlike a lot of cafes that just do it for free . The young lad then told me that he was not going to give me some money back when some of items were missing , however thats where the manger was good as she wss the one to sort this all out , and even sorted out the coffees after the breakfast had been eaten up .
