The room was clean. The breakfast was already in the room as soon as we moved in.. Can't say that was the breakfast we expected, but ok, it was acceptable, even though nobody checked previously any allergies or preferences regarding our breakfast. The really bad thing was the noise coming from the boiler next to our room 4. It was very suspicious to find earplugs on the pillow, but later i realised what for....The noise was horrible and we asked to turn it off, the personell was very friendly and helpful, and indeed they turned it off, the evening was saved, but the worst was in the morning at 7am it started again making that horrible noise that wouldn't let us sleep... So bad, as we had a long ride and hoped for a nice rest. I will lower the stars, hoping that the owner will take that into account and change the boiler that is old and probably in the long term might be unsafe. For the rest i will say it was ok. Thanks to the lady that was very helpful.

Just been today for Sunday lunch. Very nicely decorated room. Staff friendly and welcoming. Sunday dinner was delicious, great variety of veg too, mash, roast potatoes, turnip, roast carrots and parsnips, cabbage with Yorkshire pudding. Choice of beef, turkey, lamb or gammon. We had beef, very nice and generous portions. Looking forward to trying midweek menu too. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic night out. A hidden gem in blyth. We choose this restaurant without expectation tonight and we were blown away. Attentive staff, Absolutely spotless modern intimate restaurant, the steak was melt in mouth and hunters chicken moist. Sea bass amazing. Over the moon we choose there. Looking forward to more visits.

I am absolutely furious and disgusted at the owners attitude in this pub. I was walking my dog this morning past the pub and was confronted by the owner painting the pillars outside, and because the dog urinated on a pillar I was threatened and sworn at. I apologised and was then squared up to by the owner who asked did I want to meet him in the car park for a fight! Talk about an over-reaction! And then had the cheek to later say I was the one that started the dispute after my mother rang up. You should be lucky I have not contacted the police, the owner's behaviour was totally unnacceptable. If you can't speak to the public in a professional capacity then I suggest you stay well clear from the public. It is absolutely disgraceful. I never drink in this pub as it's always been rough as nails but I most certainly won't be ever stepping foot inside that's for sure. It's astonishing that because you're the owner you think you can speak to members of the public like that. Hopefully people stay well clear of this pub, you're at risk of losing the very few customers you...

My wife and I attended the restaurant on its relaunch on Thursday night as a person who has frequented many top end restaurants throughout the UK, I can sum up the Seahorse in one word 'excellent'.|From the moment we arrived we were met with a warm welcome then escorted into the restaurant area, spacious and finished to a very high standard. Staff were professional, friendly and attentive. The selection on the menu cater for everyone and all at a fair price. The presentation and quality of food, we both having steaks was delicious and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the experience so much that I immediately booked up for Saturday for the family. After our meal I asked the staff if I could look at the rooms which they obliged, again finished to a very high standard, spacious and nipping clean. This is one to try as we will certainly be revisiting on a...
