The Ship Inn is tucked away in Ann Watson Street behind B&Q. It's one of those pubs if you didn't know it was there you would never see it when passing, but it is worth seeking out. A very attractive pub in a mock Tudor Style. A traditional two room pub with a central bar it has a good range of beers and lagers, sadly no cask conditioned real ale. On the day we visited the Ship for the wake of local (Gez) The place was packed, & it was great to see so many old faces from the past. Bar staff handled the large influx of customers without getting flustered with a smile. Deco & pub in general was clean. Hopefully the Ship will be successful & carry on for many...
