Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Shocking service and dirty surroundings. Visited here on a Sunday morning, tables were full of dirty pots, had to clear a table before able to sit down and use facilities. Cramped floor space, unable to move freely between tables and other users. Chose a bacon sandwich, piece of cake and two coffees. Bacon sandwich came later on, but was burnt to a crisp and only contained one piece of frazzled bacon, took back to the counter, but no-one knew what to do when I complained, another sandwich was brought over, but wasn't much difference from the first offering. Cutlery was filthy, all spoons were brown, didn't appear to have been washed since first purchased. The toilet facilities were disgusting. Absolutely disgraceful from Costa and I am not happy at all. I went to costa, hoping to indulge into a delicious hot coffee, yet it was closed when it was meant to be open! The designated opening time for Wednesday was 6am to 9pm and the time I arrived was between eight and nine. This meant they had to be open but no. The lights were on, workers inside and yet the drive thru was chained off and the door was locked shut. The workers deliberately ignored me even though I’m sure he spotted me. This has happened on multiple occasions and I have suspicion that they are shutting up early to avoid serving customers. Came in for a sticky toffee latte. What we received was NOTHING like the advertisement displayed all over the shop. We had a little blob of watery cream with toffee on top which sank within seconds of putting it on the table. The toffee inside the drink was so weak that it had no taste. I was very disappointed to say the least especially at the price you pay fir a coffee. We come in nearly every day for the same Christmas drink. How come that some of your staff do them perfect and others have no idea and we usually end up having to tell them how to make them.
