Came back from Guisborough today and popped into the Stapylton Arms after looking online for somewhere to eat and me & my partner were very happy with everything about the place, the staff on arrival, the food and the price. I had the Mexican & cheese melt & my partner had the fresh fish wrap with chips both very nice with 2 coffee's and if I’m in the area again I know that the Stapylton is there.

Been here a couple of times and nice staff and nice decore and good food but this WiFi login is a pretty low if I'm honest. Lucky doesn't verify any of my info so I just spoofed the form with fake info. Please replace this with just a simple connect button, you get no gain from having all the details. Please change this for the ease and convince for your customers.

I am not a regular in the stap, could count on one hand the amount of times I have been here. Will not be going back. Walked in to an understandably very busy pub, a few tables with reserved signs on and a few without. We asked the women behind the bar (maybe the manager she had red hair and glasses) if we could sit on the tables as it has no reserved sign. We were told “can you just wait while I am serving” attitude straight from the off. We then sat down with our drinks and 10 minutes later she comes over and tells us the table is reserved for a group of people, we said we are fine to move aslong as someone has actually booked a table and your not moving us for regulars as it had no reserved sign? she cut me off and said no it’s reserved. Her attitude was appalling I understand it’s a busy night however it is not my fault you are unprepared with reservations. On my way out I made sure to tell her that the attitude was disgraceful - no apology no nothing just said it’s time for us to leave. Clearly this place favours their regulars which is fine but that women behind the bar needs a lesson in customer...

Went on a Sunday, for a roast dinner, and pre booked table for 13.30,there were 4 of us dining, after ordering 4 adult dinners around 13.40 we got our food just under an hour later!,now I may be wrong but if you go to a place, serving Sunday dinners,on a Sunday, you don't expect to wait nearly an hour for your food, then to top it off, what came was very poor, the Pork was basically sandwich pork, cut so thin it didn't need a knife,2 whole roast potatoes, and carrots that had a strange taste, overall very disappointed with experience, service you can let slide to a point,if its super busy you expect delays,it didn't appear overly busy this day,but the food should always have a standard, unfortunately this day,it was below poor, the one shining star was the staff, the young guy who brought our food and seen to us was top job,a really good guy,i wish i got his name to give him a well deserved mention, keep up that good service young man, but, sadly,we won't...

Visited the pub tonight for a meal with my mam and sister and I've got to say we love the new menu! we ordered a steak, chicken your way and a burger and we couldn't fault our meals they were lovely.

The only fault we did find is 2 of our meals were supposed to come with a drink, but because we didn't ask for the 2 drinks when ordering our food we were told we couldn't have them as they needed to be put though with the food order. Personally as a customer I don't feel we should have to ask for something that is supposed to come with your meal.

Upon ordering our food the bar staff did ask have you got drinks to which we replied yes as we had already ordered drinks when we first come in, but I think the question that should have been asked is what drink would you like with your meal as being denied something that you should get with your meal is unacceptable and shortened the length of time we would...
